I expected this movie to be another Christmas rom-com about a reluctant Prince Charming who comes around to find love and an appreciation for Christmas. Instead I was shocked to find a documentary on abusive relationships. The male lead is emotionally unavailable and toxic. He is rude toward strangers, unconcerned with the female lead’s feelings and gaslights her into thinking she’s the one at fault in the relationship. He comes off as physically threatening towards the elderly matchmaker near the end of the movie. He has a change of heart at the end without making the slightest effort to change his behavior. The female lead isn’t the slightest bit concerned about his behavior, only concerned about winning his approval. Usually the worst a movie of this genre does is set unrealistic expectations for young women. This film out-and-out endorses dangerous red flags that women ought to be avoiding. Incredible.

it was a lovely story at first, then her role shifted into a desperate for love-begging woman on the latter part and that's when I stopped watching. Who would ever want to be with Mr. Grouch??? And to have an ungrateful friend who almost did nothing for her own wedding?

The main character was so nice and wanted to be there for her sister and maybe win over a guy who was absolutely repulsive, rude and ill mannered, once a man shows you he doesn't want you take that as a sign to keep it moving, he called her desperate twice just not a feel good Christmas movie with his character being so mean ,the sister was okay but selfish other than that it would be great

He was so terrible to her in the movie as was her sister. It was painful to watch. The actress was awesome.

I agree, the movie was excellent but what an a** he was. Even in real life, there is no way I would ever connect with someone like him. This was the first movie I ever seen with someone so negative.

I love this movie. Especially Micah Lynn Hansen. The emotional expressions she brought forth thru her facial expressions, body language, and beauty brought real life feelings to her scenes of humor, conflict, irritation, etc.

Wow, what a beautiful, romantic movie! I loved it. It was much more than I expected. Not schmultzy, and even though it was somewhat predictable (as these romantic movies can be and are so we are all happy at the end), the plot and acting, especially of the main couple, were so well done. Big-hearted, starry-eyed beauty and her quiet, honest,, hunky man. Sigh.

I enjoyed this movie! Can they make this relationship work? If there was a part 2, I’d like to see a happier Chris because of Holly and his new job. Would also like to know how messed up his family really is and if he manages to reconnect with them successfully.

Holly seemed like a really great person, who went out of her way to do nice things for others even at her own expense. Then she ends up with a selfish sister in law to be, who has literally done nothing to help in planning her wedding while Holly is running herself into the ground trying to make her day special, and then has to apologize to the unappreciative sister in law. Then she ends up with a total a$$hat who couldn't be more toxic. His family sounds incredibly toxic.. He's mean, rude, and he seems like he has an emotional IQ in the negative range at best and more likely seems to be a total abusive man with anger issues at worst. Then the way he turns a 180 at the end with the fake appreciation and romantic gestures felt creepy and like a stage 4 clinger / stalker. The best part of the movie was the main actress and the match making great aunt.. It's too bad the few horrible characters essentially ruined the entire the movie.

This movie was nauseating!!! They had this woman behaving so desperately and practically begging to be chosen and picked by a man who can't decide if he wants to be with her or not. If a man wants to be with you it definitely wouldn't take all of this. This is the kind of relationship I never want nor wish on anyone.

Just watched this on PUREFlix and I was so disappointed. The lead man was horrible and the acting by him and his leading lady was a 5 at best. There wasn't chemistry between them to be believable. Great acting on the other castings

same here. the "matching tradition" was understandable but no need to go after the old lady like he was about to punch her in the face. and how can it be about Christmas when the guy at the end still is a grouch. bitter from beginning to end...

One of the worse movies I’ve seen! Not just Christmas but movies in general! The dude in this movie was garbage! Who gets mad when somebody tries to help! Seriously
