I'm a 49ers fan but I feel bad for my Cowboys frenemies. The Cowboys are on a hellish situation where they've been needing a change for quite some time but they are "almost there". They don't get any fresh air and keep on doing the same things over and over again and they are still "almost there". Shanhan is one of the most overrated coaches. He has had loaded teams for a while and 0 SB wins. He spent the entire 2022 preseason whining about the hat rules, not allow to wear his custom hat. His team is destroyed in the NFC title game, he doesnt dress enough QB. SF also should be investigated for how they overlook and treat injuries. McCaffery has played hurt alot. Shanahan in that NFC title game put Purdy back into the game knowing he couldnt throw due to his injury. Lucky as hell no further damage was done. Shanahan proved how pathetic he is two weeks ago chewing out Brock Purdy. Sure the kid played awful but he was without Aiyuk, Samuel and McCaffery. Purdy was a 7th rd pick, last player taken. He has struggled more this year but the team has been banged up. It's funny how this franchise praises divas like Aiyuk and Samuel, gives them huge contracts yet the coach chews out Purdy, the guy who has despite his mistakes, kept them afloat at 4-4.

But I think it is true: I don't think there's any rational question that if not second, then he's certainly one of the top-5 best coaches in the NFL. I hear a lot of criticism about Kyle, and I think that criticism is silly. It's denying the obvious, simple reality. The guy beats everyone. Save for Reid, he beats every other great coach, routinely, even when those coaches have great teams with great QBs. Kyle is unbelievably good at his job. It's astonishing how consistently great he is.

I'd love to know Daks stats for just the first 3 quarters of every game. This season has been stark and last night was as stark as it gets showing Dak is indeed a garbage time stat padder. When the 49ers were up 3 scores and went into prevent D, Dak chewed 'em up for big gains, but when it got back to one score and the 49ers defense put the clamps back on- Dak had 4 straight incompletions and couldn't do anything. It doesn't get more clear than this. I don't think he's a bad QB, he's just in the same area as Kirk Cousins, Russell Wilson (look at his stats, not bad at all), Baker Mayfield, he's a third tier QB, down from first tier elite, second tier good, he's third tier average. Though he's paid like a tier 1 elite QB.

Has everyone forgotten the concept of overpaying the starting QB and why it's a terrible idea already? This used to be set in stone before the salary cap started inflating in 2013. 12% is the traditional allocation. People were laughing at the Ravens at the time for paying Joe Flacco way above the standard 12% of the cap to the starting QB. Aaron Rodgers was considered overpaid at $13 milion dollars because it was above the 12%, and it was regularly cited as the reason they couldn't win another chip. Am I really the only person in the world who remembers any of this? Current salary cap for the Cowboys is $237 million. 12% of that is $26 milion. Dak is paid $60 million. And that has to come from Jerry Jones who has many billions and doesn't even notice it. But it also has to come from the rest of the roster. That's how the salary cap works. Give to one, gotta take away from someone else, and now your roster is weak and unbalanced. And yes, every single starting QB in the NFL is currently overpaid, except Geno Smith, Sam Darnold and the rookies. And Darnold wasn't even supposed to be the starter. Dak Prescott is the most overpaid one. Of course the Cowboys are going to struggle. Even the Chiefs are struggling with Mahomes' $47 mill a year deal, because even that is almost twice what they should be paying and it's hurting their roster building, It's irrelevant what they 'deserve'. That isn't and never has been how any of this works. It's not baseball. There is no 'QB market" or 'next man up'. Those are fictions made up by greedy agents as long as there's a salary cap.

What we are seeing from Dallas is nothing new. They have been the paper tigers of the paper tiger world. They have feasted on a pathetic division and padded their manhood areas during the regular season for years. And it comes as no surprise when they go into the playoffs, that they play like they are clueless. They have never been pressure tested. Their players are overpaid and under worked. And then there are some of their players who do more than their fair share and don't get compensated while the lazy and the "valuable" (in their own minds) are rewarded beyond their worth. And their team owner has worn so many hats that none of his management will tell him he's wearing nothing but hat. How has Dallas feasted on a pathetic division? Eagles since 2000 have been the best in the division, went to 3 SB, won 1 and since 2000 have the 6 most wins in the NFL. NYG went to 3 SB since 2000, won 2. Dallas has 5 playoff wins since 1996 and havent made it past the divisional rd since 1995. Eagles since 2017 have more playoff wins than Dallas does since 1997. Eagles since 2001: 7 NFC Championship appearances, 3 SB appearances, 1 SB win Dallas since 1996: 5 playoff wins, 0 NFC Championship appearances

Thank you. I feel the media just completely ignores the previously weak Commanders and Giants, and NFC in general (except the 49ers, Eagles, sometimes Rams) and just uses Dak's regular season stats and the 12-5 record for 3 seasons to say how great the Cowboys were. They weren't.

We should put up our own schedule predictions, I say they go 6-11, they beat the giants,carolina, and the Bengals, then the misery is over! I love the dallascowboys but this particular team, this year sucks!! And it also has a feel like the fans are finally really tired of Jerry jones and company!
