This short story turned out to be a very sad one, after watching the first part of „Once upon a mermaid“.😢 To know that Arista was a human before turning into a mermaid, gives the joy about her legs a whole new meaning. Even the first struggle while standing up and walking a few steps. I mean it’s like riding a bicycle for the first time after a few years of biking abstinence. You first struggle but will remember shortly after what to do, to keep it going and not fall on your nose.😅 She was even able to climb a tree. At the end, where she runs away, maybe hoping she can escape the mermaid curse but exactly know she wouldn’t make it for a very long time without water. It’s very sad now, that we know a bit of her story. I have to admit, that your story writing is so good, that even a story, which was created maybe before you intended to create a series about Aristas past or the mermaids themselves, ties in so well to the new story. And the new story gives this little sidestory so much depth. It’s mindblowing. Hope it’s understandable what I wrote, because this post got longer as I intended.😅 So, keep up this good work. In the whole Coping with Normal Universe, Arista is definitely one of the most tragic characters. We weren't planning on doing a whole backstory for Arista but everyone seems to love her so much we just had to haha!
