When I started plaing magic, I got this blessed vs cursed dual deck and I was drawn to ETB triggers. I learned a few years latet that you could entirely build decks around that called flicker/blink decks and I was suprised and overjoyed when I found out you love that mechanic as well. Not to mention white/blue which is what I love to use and what flickering can be done best with, so I have absolutely LOVED all of the Azorius Yorion videos you have made and you are absolutely my favorite magic content creator :)

I really want to see more quandrix command putting gas back in the deck. Strider stone has this strategy in historic bo1 that I love where he uses into the north with Gaea's blessing and abundant harvest to filter draws and QC is the closest to blessing in standard ATM. Your nowincon deck used a bit of that and it's one of my favorite effects

Hey CGB, I just started playing MTG without prior knowledge about a week ago. I played lots of YuGiOh and Hearthstone tho, so trading card games aren't entirely new to me^^ I am definetly a control player and wanted to focus on UW - I even have a sky noodle and play a very budget version of what you are playing in this video. I also just found out about the rotation thingy so I don't want to waste the few free card craftings I have on cards that are gonna rotate out in a couple of weeks. Sorry for the long introduction, but here's my question: What kind of control deck can I aim for coming expansion ? Looks like Angels or Valkyries are going to stay, so maybe some UW Angel stuff or something ? I'd appreciate some insight on decent control/midrange when it comes to UW or maybe a color recommendation for comparable control decks with enough draw and removal to make it into endgame. Thanks for the content, your videos are quite educational, even tho everything goes pretty fast when you play^^

I’ve won so many games in Orzhov clerics by using heroes pyre and sacrificing a 3 drop for a blade historian and immediately turning my Heliod on. Also the same trick but with a righteous Valkyrie on the field and sacking Orah for Drana and bringing back a Valkyrie from the yard. Immediate win in most cases.

I'm keen to see the 2022 Standard. But, what do you dislike about Rogues? Is it cause you have to think when playing against them? Or just that they are good? I don't play Rogues, but I don't understand the hate for it, it's a really balanced deck that requires lots of thought/decisions on each turn i.e. makes for interesting matches. Ultimatum, Mono Red, Mono White and Winota are the boring decks. I'd rather get rid of them before Rogues.

All games are long and you have to play it out to know if you may win or lose, no way to for early concede with boring matchup. Generally a waste of time to play against.

Companions are banned where I live so... yeah, they're really disliked. I see why when I play MTGA and the vast majority of players are using companions because it's so advantageous to have that extra pre-picked card ready to go from a commander zone whenever you want it. There's no interaction with them in that companion slot either.

That's not true at all. You shouldn't have any problems making a competitive deck within a month as a f2p player. Mono red aggro is craftable in no time, at least to an extent where you can keep up with the standard Rogue deck.
