@@2104dogface Outstanding. This seems like a worthy endeavor to put all these crews together. Let me see what I can do.

Cory do you drive or fly for most of your historical trips ?

Drive! As someone who used to love to fly, I enjoy driving now. I do not know what it is, but airports get under my skin now. Plus, I have to drag along four laptops for work, one for each different government agency.

We continue to hope that you will do a documentary about what really happened (and where) to Stonewall Jackson on 2 May 1863. There is a great deal of misinformation still out there about the incident, specifically, that the incident occurred on the 'Mountain Road' at Chancellorsville.

John, this has been on my mind since you brought it to my attention over a year ago. I saw that the current thinking is that the marker is where Stonewall helped off his horse and that he was shot near the current Visitor Center. Let me know what your thoughts are as them seems a worthy endeavor.

@@MilitaryHistory317 For years, I thought the same thing, that is, that Jackson was shot returning to his lines on the Mountain Road, until I read Stephen Sears's book about the battle. In the book (pages 292-296, paperback edition), he carefully discusses this incident. "Their fire (the 37th and 7th NC's fire) tore through Hill's party and then Jackson's, and the Plank Road became a scene of desperate confusion." That and the following action to move the injured Jackson, Hill, and various staff members, took place on the Plank Road, as per Sears. The false account claiming that the action occurred on the narrow, dark, and constricted Mountain Road was written many years later by an ambitious local guide who alleged that the guide was part of the incident. For some reason, that spurious and hard-to-believe account is accepted by the National Park Service, which installed an all-weather path and interpretive signs along what the NPS believes is the Mountain Road near the Visitor Center. IMO, there is no possible way - especially with witnesses who were involved directly in the Jackson and Hill incident - that the Mountain Road played any role in this famous episode of the battle. A fresh look at the facts is needed. :)

@@MilitaryHistory317 As with other historical events, a powerful, false narrative cluster has developed around the Jackson shooting, and anyone who questions that narrative is regarded as naive. For example, one has only to briefly read about the famous Battle of Marengo to learn that Napoleon propagandized the desperate French victory out of proportion for political purposes. Yet, today, most devotees of history list Marengo with Austerlitz!

Especially love the Custer - little bighorn content . This battle has been foremost in my mind since 1968 when I first heard of it.

Same here. I have a worn-out old pamphlet on the battle from around 1972 that I begged my parents to buy at a truck stop outside Dickinson, ND. I need to dig that out of my archives and show on here.

A few intriguing ideas to me include the expedition to capture Pancho Villa or the Battle of San Jacinto. Regardless, in for all your productions.

James, I am very interested in these ideas! I was at the Patton Museum outside of Ft. Knox, KY a few months ago and saw Patton's famous revolver he used in Mexico and carried in WWII. It seems this would be a great story to tell as I imagine that the ranch has not changed much over the years. The other thing is if you have read the great book, "Blood and Thunder", by Hampton Sides, there is so much unknown and amazing history to dig into. Kit Carson is an amazing figure. It would be great to visit the battlefields of the Mexican-American War, one just needs reassurance of not ending up being a hostage of some drug gang! However, nothing ventured...nothing gained.
