What is reality-especially when it comes to salvation? Is there more than one reality? Pastor Ted Wilson, president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, explores the reality of love as an inherent attribute of God and a reflection of His presence in us. He further illustrates God's love through the insightful parable of the wedding feast from Matthew 22, emphasizing Jesus' call to His eternal feast.
Wilson focuses on the righteousness of Jesus Christ to express the importance of relying solely on Him for salvation.
Can anyone truly live a perfect life? The reality is that we can’t-not without Christ.

Could somebody, preferably Elder Wilson himself, please explain to me how the world leader of a Christian church can spend eleven minutes talking about "The Foundation of Salvation" and the cross, Christ's sacrifice, His shed blood and death and resurrection doesn't even get a mention? It sounds like another gospel to me.

Every topic has many parts. Ted mentions the gift we have have in Jesus. But He is focused on a problem that will worsen to the close of time. It is the problem of misunderstanding and misrepresenting righteousness by faith. There are many false teachings on this topic and many will be lost due to those teachings.

It is mentioned as Christ's righteousness. The context is using the wedding parable for us living at the end of time. It should go without saying that Christ's righteousness can only be afforded to those whom the power of the cross has worked in their lives: {1 Peter 2:24} - who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness-by whose stripes you were healed. So the foundation of Salvation does start with the acceptance of Christ's righteousness by His death. This is what happens when you accept His death.

@@emor22 Yes. I must be nuts, apparently, if I expect a church leader to preach that Christ's finished work on the cross is the foundation of salvation. The sacrifice of Christ for our salvation doesn't take 28 funadamentals to explain.

Too many conflicting ideas. Mental gymnastics. The simplicity of the gospel is that we are set free from sin and healed from sin by Jesus death and resurrection. We are new. We have Spirit. It is finished. Now we act as we are, his children. If it’s a covering to look like Jesus, on the inside we’re still not like him. God doesn’t want to look out and see a sea of Jesus faces. He wants to look out and see a sea of his children made righteous BY Jesus. When we say covering we’re saying God doesn’t desire us. He desires numbers. These little nasty worms can be let in cause they did their best to keep the commandments. Nah - he wants his kiddos as they were designed: saints that are love, not just trying to love. It is finished and by faith, we are new and righteous. We are not a bad seed hoping to become a good one. We are a good one waiting to grow into a tree and bear fruit.

It's not conflicting ideas. He is addressing the wedding parable and how it applies to us living at the end of time. "We are new. We have Spirit. It is finished. Now we act as we are, his children." -- What do you mean by "it is finished"? "If it’s a covering to look like Jesus, on the inside we’re still not like him. God doesn’t want to look out and see a sea of Jesus faces. He wants to look out and see a sea of his children made righteous BY Jesus." This is exactly what happens. Jesus covers us with his robe of righteousness. {Isaiah 61:10} - I will greatly rejoice in the LORD; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. When you come to Christ, you do not possess righteousness. Righteousness belongs to Christ and it is our duty now to be dependant upon his covering until he completes His work in me. This can also be illustrated in the parable of the vine: {John 15:4} - Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. You cannot bear righteous fruit yourself apart from the vine because you don't have righteousness unless you're abiding in him. When a baby is born, it does not have the power in itself to do anything. It is solely dependant upon the mother to live. In this way, the mother covers the baby's inabilities until the baby is able to do for itself. The growth from baby to maturity is used in scripture to understand the spiritual life that we are growing up into Christ's righteousness. {Ephesians 4:15} - Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, So are you a good seed? only if you follow and are dependant upon the word of God. Luke 8:11 So your belief (at least from what I can see) that once we give ourselves to the Lord we are righteous now is not accordance with scripture. We need the covering of the Lord. We are dependant upon God for our righteousness from new-birth to maturity. I think we need to rightly divide the word of truth.

By it is finished what do you mean? What was finished? It calls for a deeper understanding of the sanctuary doctrine. Was everything finished at the courtyard? What happened at the holy place and what is happening in the holy of holies? Do we care about the day of judgement?
@JustinGlow-y2s
@JustinGlow-y2s 8 ай бұрын
@@Cryaloud It is finished means that the sacrifice and payment on behalf of man was complete. However, this does not mean the plan of redemption was complete or else, why would there be any further need for a high priest work in the heavenly sanctuary, as stated in Hebrews 8? This is where the evangelicals gospel of salvation falls short of the full understanding. They think everything was done at the cross and do away with the high priest ministry of Christ after the sacrifice. They don't understand the parallels of the old sanctuary was a pattern for Christ's ministry in heaven. In Exodus 40 the lamb was sacrificed at the beginning of the high priest ministry before the priest entered into His ministry in the Sanctuary. Coincidentally, it is done or finished will be stated again at the end of time during the Seven Last Plagues to usher in the coming of Jesus: {Revelation 16:17} - And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. I'm really amazed at how many Adventists don't understand the sanctuary message. This leads to false ideas, no matter how good they sound, and falls short of the true gospel of Christ. The righteousness of Christ will be completed at the end of the high priest work at the closing scenes of the Day of Atonement.
