I met this man in Colorado. I attended an AIM meeting. He was friendly, passionate, and to hear him speak was mesmerizing. He speaks the truth. I know he is sorely missed. He would be appalled at what is happening on our border. Imagine the poison of the Mexican Cartels oozing into the Restervations. I pray for my ancestors people...strength, wisdom, and the ability to hear our Fathers and Grandfathers warn them from Cartel Association.

@@donaldfeatheroff301 Some prophets are saying Jesus is coming back soon. If the bible is correct, many indians will regret being spirit-followers and not following Jesus. The bible even tells about how Christians used to follow the spirits. Those spirits appear to be demons. Bible also says Satan roams the earth like a roaring lion looking for souls to devour. I saw a video of Russell from when he was older. He said the U.S. Constitution had a lot of indian values built into it. I think a lot of the U.S. corruption was pushed by the same super-rich evil types of leaders today. Russell seemed like a nice guy, mellow.

One of the most influential books I've ever read; Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee" written by Dee Brown in 1971. Subtitle; An Indian History of the American West. I still carry a tattered paperback copy that I bought in 1974. In the 1930s, my white aunt Merle, married a young man from the Flathead Reservation in Western Montana. My white grandparents didn't care about the fact that he was an Indian. ( Indian was common name for Them back then) His parents did care. 1. She was White and 2. She wasn't a Catholic. She did convert, and after they got to know her, and her decency, their feelings changed. This is something that has nothing to do with the book. Native Americans didn't achieve Citizenship status until 1924. Think about that. Slaves, who weren't born here, my ancestors and everyone else's were citizens before Native Americans. And, like Blacks, our Government, kept pushing them down, but they would rise up again and again and again. A Chief, whose name and tribe I can't remember said this; " The White Man Made Us Many Promises. He Kept But One. He Promised To Take Our Land, And He Took It."

Maybe tribal the prophecy of White Feather will reach it's whole fruition and world which is who the message is for to see and change and save ourselves, White Feather's he's teaching of the state of the world in dire concern covers everything from Eco consciousness to the correct way of living with Mother Earth and the prophecy is said to not reach us all because many things of the modern world desensitize us that are obstacles to us , it is still true that the world is not ready to embrace the indigenous American teachings on good living yet because there seems to be some confusion as it what it means to follow a good teachings when we are so inundated with new ideas and new ways, people remain the same men and women will always fall in love, women will always bring new life and people will always want, in truth it is only our social or domestic environments that change.

Sadly, so very few of them would listen. They're so wrapped up in a blanket of materialism, that they continue to push those who know the truth and simplicity of our way of life aside, choosing instead the ways of greed, corruption, deceit, and a death of sorts, to true life. They are to be pitied... it's tragic!

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the best news anyone will ever hear, and what a person does with this news will determine where he or she spends eternity. God is calling you to choose life. Call on the name of the Lord and be saved (Romans 10:13). So please believe that God sent His one and only son Jesus Christ to suffer and die on the cross to shed His blood on the cross for the forgiveness of your sins. Believe that Jesus died and was buried yet arose again in 3 days and ascended back to Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God The Father. Believe that without a relationship with Jesus Christ as your Savior you are headed for Hell and an eternity in The Lake Of Fire And Brimstone. That is The Gospel Message Of Jesus Christ, believe it and be saved

@@divinefeminine4206 All Christians aren't in Denial of Truth about our Relationship with the Earth, I am very much aware of how were connected to the Earth but Who made the World? It didn't just so happen out of Air, it took a God with imagination to create everything in this Universe, even in detail to the smallest tiny cell in our bodies! I agree that we are part of this Earth, just as the roots of every Tree is connected! Why wouldn't Heaven be real,do we just go back to Dust? What would be the purpose of that, No we go to Heaven or Hell after Death because we have a Soul and we have either lived in God's will or we have lived rejecting it! The Purpose of God coming to Earth as man Jesus Christ was to Save us from spending our Eternal life in Paradise, a separated life from God ,so God took it upon himself to come in the form of Man so we could be with him forever, it took shedding his perfect blood on the Cross to Forgive our Sins, only Christ's blood could FORGIVE, no amount of Animal Sacrifice blood could take away man's Sins! I don't think it's too much to ask of God Almighty for us to Only Believe in Him for exchange of Eternity with him! The True Source of Life is Jehovah he was the First and will be the Last of all thing's! I love the Earth, I believe in Caring for it, I believe we are wasteful and Sinful against our Earth and we will be judged one day for being cruel to God's creation and rejecting his Devine Purpose!

Coubt me on to fight for this place our Creator gave us. A'ho

In our Sikh Faith, our Satguru Ji teaches us in the first composition prayer called the Japji Sahib, written by our first Guru and founder Guru Nanak Dev Ji, in the Guru Granth Sahib Ji, our infinite and final Living Guru Now. Satguru ji says that the air is our Guru, without it we can not live or speak or breath , it is our spiritual teacher and if the Great Spirit God. Through it we are able to recite and sing the praises of the Lord God. Then satguru ji says that water is our father, it is a key component of all life and purifies us. Then Sarguru ji explains, our mother is the Great EARTH. Our Satguru ji explains tbat the Air, Water and Earth are all living entities which are under the control and have been created by God, the Great Spirit, who Sikhs call Parmartma. Great Artma which is souls, the essence of all souls , origins of creation. So i feel so blessed when I hear the Native Indigenous tribes of the Americas talk of the living mother earth. Guru Nanak Dev ji came to to earth because of the cries if the mother earth and the suns humans were causing to her body. She is alive, conscious and feels pain and happiness, and lives in fear and live of God. So the Sikhs are really connected to Mother earth.

I am thankful that I have found the thoughts of this man and purely by chance. Thank you for posting this! I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and then blessed to go to a small ag/ mech college in the Southwest. I have been in person to Galup, NM, and that area, all of it is packed full of Native American culture. I was thinking about what I had seen there, the amazing Navajo friends and their sacred places. It dawned on me that all my life, here in Oregon, there is a lot of Native influence and many small tribes but we learn literally nothing about them. Other than most tribes now run casinos. The only time I can recall learning anything about the tribes I didn't read on my own volition or research out of curiosity came from the head librarian of my elementary school. My favorite day of the week was when my class got to go to the library and She would teach us about the DDS, but sometimes she would set us all down in a quiet alcove and tell us a story about the Coyote trickster's nefarious deeds where he typically ended up in hot water withe the Great Spirit or one of the other animal spirits. (Usually both at once 😆) I didn't really understand how precious those experiences were. She knew these stories and always told them from the heart. Not once did I ever see her open a book of any story except possibly a picture or beaded jewelry to explain what the different patterns in them meant to those people who created it. What a gift! Listening to this brought back those memories. I think most importantly, I have never needed to be reminded of the sacred. I think those experiences just made reverence for such things a part of my subconscious thought. One final thought... Parents, take your children outside and show them the beauty in nature. Let them fall in love with some aspect of it. That's all you have to do. They'll take care of the rest as they age. I promise. And if you're saying to yourself, "Oh, I live in the desert, and there's nothing beautiful or special about where I live." Yes, there is, I can say that with unequivocal certainty, there's something everywhere. Even Manhattan (which, by the way, is a Native American word) has Grande Central Park. No excuses, just do it. If you truly love them wouldn't you do anything you could to make their life a happy one? Give them this gift and maybe someday, if we're lucky, each successive generation will feel less and less of that Indo-European need to take, own and control all under our purview. You can't take it with you, and if you try, the only thing you'll do is permanently deny it to your progeny, get it? ✌️

@@jojomama4787 He organized and led the extreme militant American Indian Movement. His militant and extreme radical rhetoric forced the Federal Government (FBI...ATF) to take an adversarial defensive stance and did much harm to Native rights and any trust and understanding that many tribal leaders had worked so hard on building. Yes he had some support in the traditional wing of tribal politics however the damage done by Russell Means and Dennis Banks is still being repaired to this very day.

Much wrong has been done to natives in this country over the 400 years of cultural clash, however white guilt and victimization by the natives is NOT IMHO the key to finding solutions that continue to challenge the proud and rich cultural heritages of first peoples in this greatest land on earth.
