Thank you for sharing your story. You ARE amongst friends! My own PTSD is much older, (and there's no comparison to what you've been thru), from a years long, death threat stalker. I also had to seek medication treatment. Even once he'd been arrested, I still felt vulnerable, fearful, paranoid, hyper-vigilant...and those feelings remain still and pop up from time to time. PTSD tends to flare up when our lives are in uncertain chaos...when we feel out of control. Schedules, routines and familiarity in day to day life, definitely helps. Like you and Jeff, youtube became a safe place that I used to hold off depression. And, it was so good for me...I'm still here! Music is medicine...but its the interaction w ppl, the friendships I've formed, that are so important. I'm never alone in my suffering, and neither are any of you! It's never a bad time to seek professional help if you feel yourself drowning. It's never a bad time to reach out...even to KZbin friends. You just never know how many ppl are struggling...so let it be known to your friends and family that you're willing to help, to listen, to support; (I'm here anytime, for anyone) to just show compassion and grace. And if someone helps you selflessly, please pay that kindness forward, when you can. Love you, Sue! You are one of the strongest, bravest people I know...and I'm only a call away for you or Jeff!

Ty for sharing your story, mental health gets ignored too often, especially by society, but it's such an important subject to discuss, so it can help others realize they are not alone and do not have to face it alone. Stay strong together as a family.

You never know who or how many you may help by coming forward and sharing like today. Following a ‘urge’ to talk about such things. My wife has done the eye thing and has helped her from a lot of childhood abuse. Thank you

Susan, you are an amazing, incredibly strong woman. For whatever reason, God has given you more than your share of burden. (The Job gene?) It sucks for sure, but I believe He knows you and with His help and love that’s around you, you are strong enough to endure and somehow be blessed by the path he has led you down. Remember how many people love you and are supporting you. Don’t be hesitant to reach out to those for support and help when you need it. You can always call me a friend, and not just a KZbin friend. We love you! You are Invincible!

So brave to be so open. I never never would have guessed that you suffer from this. That’s probably the hidden and sudden, unexpected, things you experience and tell us about. I feel you (and Wolfmen) are people with a heart of gold. I hope your therapy will soon make you feel more at ease. As so many I also had some very traumatic experiences. But luckily it never brought structural things on/over me. For that I’m blessed if I see your reaction and hear what you and other ptsd suffering people have to go through. That doesn’t make it better for you, but similar to other psychological disorders there not always visible or noticeable for none professional people like me and many other people . So it’s not only brave to share this with other people but also important to educate others like me to maybe recognize the divergent behavior and keep in mind what’s may be causing this. So again I hope your upcoming sessions will take the edge of the big pressure you’re under. Big hug to you and your family 🙏

Thanks so very much for sharing your story with us. You are a very courageous woman. I know about the problem as I have a close family member with this issue after a very abusive relationship. Har to retire early from worklife on sick pension and still problems. Tenseness that lead to recurring migraine and dehabilitating muscular pain. I agree, it's good that society nowadays are more aware and that there are support to give and to be given. Blessings to you and your family.♥️♥️ PTSD can take many expression.

Thx for being so honest. I myself also have a rucksack full of mental problems i had to overcome. Burnout ptsd etc. What helped me most was be honest to myself the ones i love and therapists nightwish and floors voice made me to let go out my emotions something i never had shown and also long talks with people who had to deal with problems like me. Sorry i cry now so in a way you are helping me to 💝💝💝

Mike, I see you. I hear you. We're the same age, and it seems to be that things start unraveling about this age...I know for me, I'm starting to feel that everything is so difficult, and, like you said...dark. if you'd like to talk about your troubles, or just vent...I'm here for you! Just say yes and I'll give you my email.. Maybe we help each other? You are not alone! Sometimes it's easier to talk w someone you don't know well. And I do not judge! Thinking of you...

@@amygoodson-catlady Thank you, Amy, that's really sweet of you. I wasn't really aware of what you said about things starting to unravel at that age, unless you were referring to the so-called midlife crisis that some people seem to be prone to, when reaching a certain age. Anyway, I'll gladly take you up on your kind offer, and, yes, maybe we can indeed help each other. I'd propose that you contact me through the e-mail address that can be found on my channel's about tab, we could then take it from there. Thanks again, Mike 🙏❤

♥️ Hugs from the Netherlands. You may have thought you were not very cohesive in your story, but it sticked to me from beginning to end. You walked us through your past and into your present, were open and honest, and shared many meaningful experiences. With things to catch on to... as a person who suffers as well as as a person who witnesses suffering. Ways to find healing but also ways to be supportive. You have added in no small way to Floors song and clip. Thank you so much! All the best for you both.
