There are many fancy audio channels on KZbin that do not apply sound tests, so we have to believe everything they say without experiencing it for ourselves! The negative consequence of it is the bigger chance of making mistakes in our decisions! Audio products are not cheap, it is not like buying bread and bisquits, for gods sake! Therefore, Sound Tests are the only way, (whether compressed or not!), we can get closer to making a right decision when buying a product. Why criticise something that is good and useful ?!

I think most people will know seeing and hearing something in person is always going to be the better than a video. At least with your method you show people you really did take the time to set up the equipment to test and compare. There are videos out there where you don’t even know if the reviewer had the product in hand (or even unboxed it) or if they are just reviewing a spec sheet. I know which video I would choose to watch.

But there is a point in doing a sound test despite you tube compression. No 1. and most important, I friggin love it, love love love a good sound test. No 2. You can indeed compare the various clips, and it gives you an idea of how products sound against each other, no I am not on Martin's sofa listening to what he can hear, but I can compare two clips and pick the best one i like, and compare one to the other. The only thing (and it is not a negative cos I really like the channel) is I would love to see more take the lid off to see the inside of stuff please.

It's the nearest most people will get to a demo, not too many outlets doing demos and they don't always have the audio item you're looking to hear . It's a lot better than nowt .

Just because you can't hear the true sound, doesn't mean you can't hear differences in the sound between gear. I like sound test, they can help in choosing between stuff!

Hahaha. I hear enough in the tests. Leave the experts with their disappointment (maybe they should start their own channel and tell the masses how they don't work)

Sound tests are useless, but if people like them it's not a problem for me, doesn't prevent to appreciate your videos.

No they are not useless, you can hear the difference of A or B amps despite the compression.

There is no point in watching sound tests on KZbin if you have wallet compression.
