The only issue with the 4M40 (2.8L) and the 4M41 (3.2L) diesels are their glow plugs. Tip: in the ACC on the key, never turn on the radio as it burns the glow plug fast. A hard starting will occur as a result. If you feel that its hard to start the car but the two batteries are fine, check for glow plugs. They turn extremely black due to excessive burn. Advice: replace the 4 glow plugs to return to its normal ignition.

One thing you didn't mention is that the super select 4WD system was one of the earliest systems that you could change from 2H to 4H and back in speeds of up to 100Kph. 🇰🇪

There are a lot of them in my country but majority of SUVs are first generation W163 MLs. They are absolutely robust and built to last thousands of miles just like old pajero
