Aussie boomer. My mum has Parkinson’s and dementia and hallucinates all the time. My sister has taken on full time care for her as she has training in aged care ect. They are in QLD. I went to visit (from NSW) the other week and it is heart breaking to see my mum who used to be so active to no longer able to walk unassisted and constantly in and out of hallucinations. My son is doing a tafe course for Individual support for disability as he is such a caring soul. There are so many health issues in the world and non physical ones like mental health is a big one. I understand you pain and emotions as I feel the same about my mum. My dad is starting to get dementia so my sister will have her hands full soon. He totally denies it and will not get tested but my sister sees it. He also gets into nasty moods but she knows it is only the disease. Thanks for sharing and being mental health to the wider community.

I try to be there for my sister but it is hard when I am dealing with my cancer. My sister would vent to her husband. I told her to talk to her dog. I talk to my dog about my feelings ect and it really helps.
