24:00 Trample could have been nice on the sweep lord. When a sweep unit has trample, all the excess damage from every unit it kills is applied to the front living unit. Say your unit has 30 attack and is facing four units that have 100 life, 5 life, 5 life, and 5 life. Without trample, the front unit is reduced to 70 life. With trample, the front unit will die along with the rest.

Pogged as always. Here's a tip NL, if you put trample on a sweep unit, even though sweep already allows it to hit all enemies, if it kills a unit, the excess damage still gets sent down to the other enemy in addition to the base damage. In most situations, it can be really good for wiping floors.

NL's first run was not a win but he did a much better job to pause and think strategically. Especially he did a much better job at realizing his mistakes (although he repeated them XD) Next step, he should consider to synergy both decks his main and his support. Most of the times you want to use the main creature wise and the support for spells since the main is the one setting your deck archetype. But at times one deck may have that sweep minion you want on the first floor or those tanks to protect your frail damage dealers. That said, umbra does not need tanks in my opinion. But sweep and multistrike units are good additions as an example.

I've found Feast is only good on runs where you have Morselmaker taking up too much capacity (usually cuz I have a Morselmaster on the same floor). You Feast to clear up some room and plop another unit down instead of the morsels. It's also good for immediately getting use out of the energy morsels, or adding a Damage Shield or some Life Steal to a unit who needs it now rather than next turn. Still it's situational enough that if I take it I usually end up upgrading it with permafrost.

Seeing my man sleep on Trample hurts me a great deal, especially since it would have literally saved the run (provided you drew it in time). Whenever you have an hard hitting unit (like your champion in this case) you should really consider it as a way to deal damage to as many units as possible, many times a 3 damage unit will spawn in front and will eat all your damage, which is what happened here. That said, you're learning very fast, series is pog, keep it up!
@Bwhited23994 жыл бұрын
The final boss is so unforgiving in this game. I have cruised through plenty of runs on Covenant 15 only to reach the final boss and get bodied. Run archetypes that fit the rest of the game often just lose to the final boss. Maybe I often overthink it too and that plays a role. Great video!

At 5:45 I think Sharpen was a better choice for taking out small units. You've got a tanky champion and healing spells, may as well play up the spikes. At 21:26 Adaptive Mutation on Shattered Shell is insanely good, since you've buffed its health and are determined to keep it from taking hits anyway. At 23:58 I like trample here. Your champion will Gorge to be huge if you let it, and trample can be very useful when you've got a champion with over 300 attack (which is where this champ will usually end up heading by the end). 25:54 Harvesters of Death are a huge problem for Umbra runs. You need to have a plan for this fight because the Harvest guys will ruin you every time if you don't. The +5 spellpower card for Sting runs is kind of important, it's how you scale up once your deck starts filling up with Stings.

I think 5 times copying+hold overing the spell that puts 3 stings in your hand immediately (preserved thorns) would have been more beneficial than a flat 5 copy of a base sting. Potential 15 stings vs 5 and it wouldn't affect your ability to draw units since you'd go through your whole deck before the stings got reshuffled in (and also you're drawing like 9 cards every turn)
