Thank you, Mike!.. lm on the way of making diy 16mm cutter from 35mm film. The idea is the same, but the construction differs...Good luck in your hobby!

Keep posting these! By the way, a roll of 36 Minox exposures, just happens to be very close to the length of the camera measuring chain...

@@m005kennedy I was re-watching this and realized I missed your comment by almost a year. I do know a few tricks with these but I am also learning. I measure film from the slitter with either an already exposed film, 2 pieces of tape on the sink, the camera chain, or not at all. A 36 exposure 35mm film if you double it over in the dark, is about 40 per each half. Hope to see more Minox stuff, I'm addicted to these cameras, and it's nice to see other people getting into them (or back into them, as the case may be). With modern fine grain film it's really astonishing what these can produce.

For 36 exposures, cut 24" of film. I usually cut about 27", just to be on thd safe side. You need a 15 exposure cassette, if you want to make a 15 exposure film. The take-up spool has a slightly larger diameter, on the 15 exposure cassettes. You'll get overlapping frames if you don't.

Are you sure? The first 15 pictures on a 15 picture film and a 36 picture film are rolled up the same way. So, no modifications on the roll are required!

Measure your film stock with a length of string with a knot near each end which you have pre-measured, just like using your Minox focusing chain.

I wonder if rolling the film can damage the emulsion. What's your experience with this?
@m005kennedy6 ай бұрын
If you roll it with the emulsion sidein it will be fine. Reverse rolling it can damage the emulsion.

Just to make sure - I'm supposed to go with the curl of the film rather than against it, right?

@@m005kennedy It can be a cutter or reels for the minox ec, in Latin America that is impossible to get and I want to shoot a minox sometime in my life
@m005kennedy Жыл бұрын
Now I understand. You need.a slitter and at least a reel to process the film. Do you have standard stainless steel tanks for developing 35 mm film?
