I like how Winters friends are teaching him all about friendship and loving each other no matter what tribe, but they never give him any credit for literally saving a NightWing, out of all dragons, who even is the mother of Darkstalker. That’s huge character development for him to take a choice like that, yet nobody even cared.

I don't think Winter *needs* to be in a relationship, but I 100% ship Qinterwatcher, so would love to see that. I feel like Tui was janky with Winter's story and overall character arc, which makes most people remember him as a snobbish, never smiling, mean, terrible dragon. (pssst he's actually not and got character development but Tui forgot that after book 7 and only remembered it in book 14 when it wasn't relevant. Thanks TUI.)

Personally the seirse gets worse right after his book, like some how all his characters development is droped the moment he comes back in perils book, he gos from "am living life for moon i love her so much, i must tell her" to "RAGGGGGGGEEEEE time to attack a camfire made dragon"

He's my favorite character in the series because I could relate to him, naturally soft, but toughened up by my parents to the point of not knowing myself anymore. When you understand what it's like to be in somebody's place, you sympathyse with them effortlessly. I miss the hope he had at the end of book 7 ;-;

I reread Winters book, Everyone thinks that Turtle was just too scared to come, but actually Winter was getting annoyed with Turtle SOO he scared him off, making Turtle feel unwelcome that’s why he didn’t go farther

Queen Diamond only had one daughter, right? She could’ve had dragons to possibly have the IceWing genetic move on. Even though, I guess Queen Diamond could get a little grumpy at her son for giving the NightWings an animus Sunny could still carry on if she ever finds someone to love which - I don’t want her to:,) And I guess Diamond didn’t want to be the only dragon who could pass down animus magic or something. I don’t know how long animus dragon blood will last considering that was 2000 years ago.

just got to the winter loving qibli joke and im gonna be for real winter and qibli legitimately had so much more chemistry than either had with moon. we barely get any of moon’s thoughts on them and their thoughts on moon are just. not as well sewn in as their thoughts about each other. sure they think “man i love her” but the feelings are never described in the same detail that they seem to be in wt and dod (dod especially) for each other idk my rambling isnt totally sensical but the relationship between either of them and moon just. did not click. it didnt feel natural, more forced because the endgame had to be moon with one of them. they go so much better together id die for qinter theyre canon in my world of fantasy AAGHG !!!

Winter’s feelings for Moon are more detailed than Qibli’s, it always confused me how he even fell in love with her, I’d ask the same thing about Winter but I can kinda see why. I don’t know, Qibli hardly thinks of Moon in his book at all, he only ever starts to think of her again after Chapter 15. I’m not a Winterwatcher fan, I hate the idea of the two even being a couple lol, I just kinda wish that Qibli’s crush for Moon was as noticeable as Winter’s. I’ve only ever gotten vibes where the two would’ve been amazing friends than an actual couple.
