Had the pleasure of fishing the Yateley Complex back in 2019. Pads was a beautiful lake and I frequently gazed upon Car Park as I waited for my first UK carp. Such history at Yateley, and as a Canadian carp angler it was such a surreal moment to be standing in one of the places that defined what carp fishing is today. Amazing video sir!

i fished the North lake once right in the corner behind the little island in the carp park lake and i heard one BOSH right on that little island at 3am 😳,BIG FISH,did three days on the north lake blanked 😐 but loved it !!!,my mate had a 17lb mirror so it wasn’t a total blank,also he fell in 😂,because when the bite came at 2am ish he ran out in his socks and skated straight in LOL😄 thankfully we were prepared and the carp had headed itself in weed so came in anyway👍,it’s just an incredible venue because you’re proper out in the sticks

Great snatch Davy lad. Totally agree, Christmas time social with the die hards on the bank. Gutted I didn't win the trip out with you champ, would ave been a proper scream. Maybe in the future. Crawley boy's still thinking of ya. Merry Christmas HOHO. Keep the Cob warm.👍🎣🍺

What I like best about you and anglers of way back. I do believe we don’t take it to seriously (we try our hardest to catch but if it doesn’t happen we have no problem saying so or we at least learnt something). Well done for the catch and I would of enjoyed the video the same. I would love to meet up on a lake by accident sometime, just for the laugh at ourselves getting it wrong or not applying ourselves but enjoying blanking all the same. Great catch mate on an epic water. Well done mate 👍👍👍

My favourite carp angler and maybe the best of all time. You would have caught the the 8 mirrors and leather if you had fished it in the old days. It's still a very difficult lake and well done on the capture

What a great way to spend time doing what you enjoy. I must say that the Photo's and Video of your 1st Yateley Carp are not as bad as you think. Also nice to see the autobiography of I believe the greatest Guitarist ever to live Eric Clapton. 2 legends in the same room, Dave Lane and Eric Clapton. Cheers

Bit of a way to go for a winter fish 🥴 I’m in Essex on a quiet ticket and kinda learning that all the great lakes seem to be south west of London which I’d consider a gigantic mission for me to go that far 😄 I’d maybe do a holiday on one of em. First year back at it since 1990 and had the biggest one on my water in August so can’t complain, despite blanking the past two months

Hi Dave. Was it a conscious decision not to fish The Car Park in the days of Heather , The Dustbin and The Baby Orange etc & not to mention Basil in the North Lake a few meters away or did the smaller "circuit waters" not float your boat ?
@davelane19962 жыл бұрын
I never really fancied it to be honest, it was a bit small and very heavily fished. After Horton i went to Wraysbury and just sort of got the big wild pit bug.
