Ya Ali express is different. Almost like an eBay and you need to be careful who you buy from. Banggood is an actual supplier like Amazon in a sense. Never had an issue except about 3 years ago an order got lost in the mail. It was a $180 RC and tracking info showed it got lost in my city. They refunded it for me. Maybe store credit I can’t remember but it wasn’t their fault. This was before I even had a channel and it was my very first purchase from them so I was nobody to them at the time. Completely legit company.

Its nice to see mjx listened to our complaints about the 1/16 hypergo. The steering on this 1/10 is a step up atleast and 5mm is what i put on my 1/16 and the 35kg steering servo. Is more than enough power. What is a let down is the speed for it expected alot better. Tbh

I agree! Yes the speed is good, but it should be able to get close to that with a 3s and not take a 4s. 4s should push us over 60, though that’s a bit insane for a monster truck lol would need to do it in a vacuum chamber with no air lol

@@DerbyCityRC Im running 4s in my 1/16 and I haven't fully opened it up. 3s takes me to 57Mph 4s is of the charts. My 60amp ese blew to hell but it was an animal. I had a 120 that should fit. Also running a co-rally 26th pinion with case mod to fit it in. Im loving the Bluetooth esc tho.

Hello! I am new to the hobby, only a month in and your videos have helped me greatly in determining what to buy. After one month I am up to 6 cars now, I'm sure you know how quickly you get hooked 😂. I have a question, is the grinding noise coming from the drivetrain normal on brand new cars or is this a sign that the gears don't have enough grease? Any input is appreciated. I just got the H14 BM yesterday and it rolls fine but makes some noise and I'm paranoid.

That's a hard one to answer. It could be something as simple as gear mesh or even the gear pitch. I'm definitely not an expert on the subject but some cars make a grinding sound because for the gearing. I would check your mesh first to see if that helps. Normally people use one sheet of note paper to set mesh on a 48 pitch gear and 2 sheets on larger tooth gears. Hopefully the manual cover that.

Super glad you find the videos helpful! 😊 A true grinding sound would not be good, but a “clacking” sound is normal for a car with metal gears. It really does depend on what the exact noise is lol

I also enjoy the sound of straight cut gears singing, what kinda has me paranoid is I actually have 2 of the H14BMs and my first one, the one I run doesn't have that sound nearly as pronounced, I haven't even ran the second one yet mainly because of being paranoid because there's such a difference in the sound of the two when rolling. I'm probably just overreacting. I also just got the Carbon Omni Terminator and it's silky smooth, love it so far!

I wish Rlaarlo would do that for the esc it gets old being locked out of programming I never noticed the hard braking issue on the Omni Terminator until I swapped remotes. I am noticing these makers are trying to see how far the can push the price and still sell these at 100-150 yes as they get 200 plus that makes it hard to choose these at least for me anyways, cool vid as usual

For almost $300, the price is too high. For that price you could get a arrma 3s line (like last month granite was on sale for $268). I think what makes those chinese brand shine is their low price, the brushless system and durability they offer in their 16 scale model. But when they priced their product the same as the bigger brand, it's not so attractive anymore. Plus it's very painful to work on those chinese brand cars, so many screws and a lot of time, the screws are bended, which means the screw quality not so great. I'll pass on this 10208😆, but great review as always.

MJX 10208 is priced ¥1000 rmb (Chinese Yen) which is equal to $137 U.S. dollar. They pretty much double the price when selling overseas. Crazy 😂

I think I messed up man. I ordered the 3S Lipo for my hyper 1/14 scale and through some paddle tires on it. after a couple of runs, it turned into a front wheel drive. I'm assuming I trashed the rear Differential. It's a manually turn a rear wheel. The other one does not turn like it used to any advice would be really helpful used to be pretty good at fixing these things but it's been years. I feel like a noob again. Please help.

Oh no! So for one, the diffs on the 1/16 scales are a weak point, unless they started putting the upgraded ones in which I’m not sure. But it’s also possible you just busted a while pin or axle pin. Make sure the full axle spins along with the wheel. Typically when you blow a diff it will give you warning signs or make a terrible noise. Hopefully that helps, let me know what you find!

I like it but the run videos have been vastly different. In some its stupid over powered (in a good way) and others it's a lazy snail or here it's kinda average. The body identified as my Xmaxx in another video and self ejected at the slightest hint of violence but stayed on pretty good in this one. I want to love this and it sell like crazy. I want Arrma and Traxxas to get worried. Mostly i want MJX, Rlaarlo , and everyone else to keep going bigger. I enjoy large scale and already have all of the big rigs offered that i want at least ( sorry XRT and Raminator, I can't be bothered). Somebody needs to build a large scale Typhon type buggy.

Great review, Evan. I’ve always thought that when the good Chinese brands start building true 1/10 bashers, Traxxas and Arrma are going to have something to worry about. It’s been comical in the past what they’ve been trying to sell as 1/10. With the 10208, we finally have a true 1/10. It looks good and it’s nice to have another option. I have a feeling we’ll be able to get them for a good sale price once they’re on Amazon. For $289 I’d probably pay $50 more and buy an MT10, but I’m glad to see Hypergo venturing into the bigger RC market.

It does look pretty decent.!! 👍 👍 👍 £224 for the 3S no lipo version, £260 for a 3S lipo & USB charger version up to £294 for the 4S version with a 4S, 5000mah lipo & a GT power GT4 50 watt charger here in the UK.... when we eventually get it.! 😉 That's honestly a very good deal.! The GT charger & lipo alone would cost around £60.! We also have a couple of official dealers in the UK so spares aren't much of a problem.! I like Hyper go cars (I like a bunch of brands) I also find getting parts are 24 hours away most times. They hold up really well (as well as my more expensive cars for the most part) I just got in the hobby June 15 of this year and went hay wire (bought over 40 cars) I’ll post some videos today. I have at least 7 more coming this week. Just ordered the red cat drifter it’s on sale for $350 at Amazon. My first only drifter car.

they made it look as if this one makes standing backflips all day. it certainly does not look so stock from the factory. maybe oil in main diff would help but that is kind of setting the expectation too high with their marketing video. I guess its good for the price yet not really as great as they made it out to be. would be interesting if you ever set the oil in the main dif and loose the wheelie bar and set to max punch to test the standing backflips thing. there are only a few rc cars that do it effortlessly as they showed in the marketing video.

Yup the first released video of theirs was way different. Another video I saw of theirs made it look like a slug. The reality is in between. I do have upgrades planned for it to see if it can handle.

32 on 3s is embarrassing. Granite does 47 on 3s That lipo cutoff voltage is hilarious, 3.2 is what MJX call "high" and 3.0 is "medium" and 2.8 is "low" Yeah, I'll agree 2.8 is low. But to default to 3.0 ? You're killing your batteries. No other ESC has a cutoff that low. 3.2 is as low as any respectable ESC will let you cutoff. Anything below is abusing the battery. Non-adjustable servo saver, too narrow width, stability issues like on the H14BM. That chassis has too much flex, that looks like it's made of rubber the way it bends. RC Guy Garage has some wrenching videos on this, and you see how the screw holes strip easily, it's way too soft and flexible. Also, it lets lots of grit into the diff \ bulkheads \ spur area. I also had bad experience with MJX warranty service, which is: you send an email, they ask what parts you need, they say they shipped them, and 5 months later, I've got sent jack sh1t. Horizon Hobby warranty be like: you send an email, give em a link to a KZbin video where you show the issue and they ship a new part 3-4 days later. Boom. That's customer service I'm willing to pay the extra $30 for, get the Granite over this truck, which is what i did.

I just learned that you can gear up this car. From 12T to 15T using different motor mount holes! It could mean 25% more top speed :)

Other than parts availability, I think I would take that any day over my Arrma 3s big rock. A lot of really cool features and I doubt the reliability will be any worse than what I have experienced with my big rock!

@@BriansRCStuff I gave up on them. I have owned every Arrma 3s except the Granite and all went the same way. Constant diff issues, shocks and driveshafts breaking. ESCs failing, motors failing. I did bash hard and happy to fix normal wear and tear breakages but this was constant. My buddy couldn't get through a battery pack without his 3s Typhon breaking. Now that 6s Arrma Typhon is the complete opposite. I run mine on 4s and it very seldom breaks and parts don't wear out as quickly. That's an Arrma I can recommend.

I havent had all these issues with my 3s Arrmas but I’ve heard stories from other people lol. This is definitely a good entry and parts support hasn’t been a big issue for mjx as far as I know.

The Maverick Quantum flux 2 seems to get good reviews. I don’t have one yet, but out of that whole list, I would fork up the extra for the 10208. It’s the biggest of those and so far seems to be extremely durable. Then could always get Arrma granite shocks as an upgrade later on. But yes you will need a 3s battery. I’d highly suggest Redcat Dukono wheels. I’ve been suggesting them to you for a while and I promise they are AWESOME wheels and tires for the money. I think they may even be 12mm hex but I’ve used them on and off for years. Very soft but firm tires and light but sturdy.

Yes they do, it’s in the box. Parts are listed on it also. No parts won’t be as easy to get as a bigger name brand just yet. For many, myself included, it’s worth $50 to go to something else, but that’s not for me to decide.

That truck looks great and It's a bit wider and slighty larger then this Hyper Go 1/10 and the Rival MT10. The only thing that concerns me is the durabilty and long term quality of the Maverick but it's a temptng buy for sure!

Got yourself a new sub. 😎 Very fast paced video, almost to the point where I was tempted to play it at half speed just to keep up with what was going on. LoL. Maybe I'm just getting too old... But it was well put together, so well done. I just got mine today and so far I'm impressed with what I see. Does have a bit of play in the steering as you pointed out and their plastics are a bit soft, but it's a basher MT, its not like anyone will hit the track with this thing. You're more likely to hit the curb than a track, am I right? 😜 I think some thicker oil in the diff, maybe some hub extenders to add another 5-10mm each side and some better tyres (with more rotational mass) will help this beast. The suspension travel is a tough one to fix, but without the arms getting longer, I'm not sure longer shocks will make much difference. MJX did say they wanted feedback, so the best we can do is pass it on and hope they address it. 🙂

I hear ya. It’s $278 on Makerfire and an MT10 is $330, so it’s $52 more in that instance. Currently $300 on the HyperGo website though.. The MT10 is a great truck and worth that extra $52 in my opinion. Some people may not think so and want more options. It’s all up to the buyer!
