Ryan is 100% correct. As someone apart of the new generation of fans there is close to no younger fans. People don't realize how bad it really is. My LCS I'm the only younger person there, nobody I know close to my age watches Star Wars. It's a very big problem

@ it’s such a crazy concept that you just new was there simply to be used by Han later in the story haha. I love the end of the book when Han is being tortured by the nightsisters and they pop his back molars with the force 🤯 crazy stuff.

Old school EU fan here. I had the privilege of reading the books in order as they were released, up until Disney took over that is, that is when I stopped. All those years since Heir to the Empire in 1991 (I was at the book store the day it came out) I had many books a year to look forward to. I can imagine it is daunting for younger, newer fans of have well over 100 books to read or listen to. But at the same time, they will have quite a journey to behold, one that Lucasfilm under Disney will never attain.

Yes Matt! Timothy Zahn. I was so hoping Disney would go that direction with the prequels when I originally heard Disney would be taking over producing Star Wars movies. I still hope that one day, someone other then Disney gets the rights and makes a Thrawn trilogy movie series or something based mainly on Timothy Zahn's books.

I don't want to argue nor diminish anyones opinions or efforts in this situation, but I think you are being unfair towards the Legends Expo team and their efforts. For one they have a higher interaction on their social media platforms than many of the Legends Con Social Medias and upload on them very frequently. Secondly they already have three guests announced, very few people would accept an invitation to a, "failing convention". Thirdly, a lot of people on their team are dedicated EU fans who have an established online presence, many of them with large audiences. e.g. Swotorista, Brian from Barbs basement, the couple from the Chanel Punch it Chewie etc... All said I don't think this should be a divisive issue in the community, instead of harping about the faults of one person or another in this whole dumped down drama. We should commend the fact that there are now two different Star Wars Legends centred conventions. One in a highly populated area, very close to many fan groups such as the 501st legion, and one in accessible area in the centre of the US were people from all over the country can have easier access to.

I don't know (or have heard of) any of the people involved with Legends Expo. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just speaking my opinion. If they make, good. Good for EU fans. But I also do not see a conscious effort to connect with the base crowd either. I want to wrong about Legends Expo's eventual cancellation. We'll see what happens this year.
