Bristol Data Week is a platform for learning, discussion, and exploration of data science and AI applications. It offers a valuable opportunity for researchers, external partners, and community groups interested in technology and its societal impact to connect and collaborate. The event encourages the growth of existing networks while fostering the development of new connections.
There are many ways that Data Science can be made more inclusive, from building more inclusive teams to the types of data we collect and how this data is communicated. In this session, Professor Catherine Hobbs, Amy Gallimore, Dr Rachel Dugdale, and Dr Betsy Muriithi discussed some of the ways that data science can be made more inclusive from recruitment to research design.
