I'm a man of modest means, so I bought the new A1 integrated Class A. Could not be happier. This Nu Vista is sublime, however. Love Musical Fidelity.

Around 25 years ago I decided to upgrade my hi fi system. It was going to be CD based rather than record so spent as much as I could on the cd player, the Amp and speakers. The amp or should I say amps i bought where from Musical Fidelity as I liked the warm sound they gave me. So I got the pre and power amp Xp100 etc. Neither has given me tough wood a minutes problem and still sound as good as the day I bought them. Would o like a Nu Vista 800 .2. Of course I would as am sure it sounds amazing, But of course that would start a train of decisions ie what speakers are next etc etc and if I could afford it all that would be brilliant but sadly I can’t

100% I think the amp would just be the start of the investment, an incredible unit, but hi-fi most can only dream of!

Does the Vista 800.2 have tone control or EQ?

Its designed from a purist perspective with nothing in the signal path that doesnt need to be, so like most modern hifi amps and especially higher end amps, it doesnt have tone controls.

I will never buy anything from nu vista series just because vista means chicken in my native language. Imagine looking everyday at nu chicken amp 😁
