I myself am Tibetan and was born in India, it was that time back in 1959.Chinese occupied tibet and tons people had to flee for their lives including my grandparents. They really had a hard life and India gave us everything they could and I swear it was more than enough to us Tibetans.we have our own houses, properties,schools,temples. What more can we ask for ? No, this is partially true. When Nalanda Viswabidyalay, Takshasila & Vikramsila Viswabidyalay existed, the students from Tibet came here to learn Indian philosophy, Science, Theology etc. Many of them translated the Sanskrit scripts in their language. Also when the Islamic invaders occupied Bengal, many wise men fled to Tibet with 'Charjapad', the early script of Bengali literature-this way the Indian knowledge spread among the Tibetans and that is why they address India 'Guru' and themselves sishya.
