For the power steering cooler, I used the OEM for the 8.1 gasser. The diesel OEM has been discontinued as far as I could tell, but the gasser one bolts in the OEM position, but you have to bend the lines to get around the intercooler. I'm about to make the conversion to the 2011 hydroboost. I have a 2003 Max.

I have a 2006 Silverado 3500 LT, 6.0L gas engine with the hydroboost brakes. I have owned the truck for about 6 years now. When I bought it, it has always had a whine to it, and I've always been good on keeping up on my fluids, so I thought it was just the alternator making the noise. Recently I had all my brake lines, and wheel sensors replaced. Mechanic told me the whine was from the brakes, but didn't have any idea of how to make the noise go away. Is there a bleeder screw or any way of bleeding the system without replacing anything? Thank you.
@jordancampbell37233 жыл бұрын
I think i have an idea maybe what you are talking about. My moms sierra did the same thing for a long time. Like a growling noise that went with rpms. I replaced the power steering pump and it went away completely. Also check all your pulleys. Hard to tell without hearing it but thats my best guess
