Cultural barrier is the problem of my kinsmen. They are hell bent on marrying a man from my village and loose out on all the good guys they encountered along the way. My aunt in her mid 50's is still waiting for a man from this village. Infact, when she said she must marry from our village (at 50+) was when i knew she wasn't ready to marry in This Life. May God show her mercy Amen. I'm happily married but not to my kinsman.

However, these listed were not some people’s experience. Some people encountered impossible people. A proud jobless 40+ man should not think of getting married. Many men lost their character when trying to make ends meet. Physical looks is not for women only, unmarried men should look neat and dress well to attract women. Sensible women look beyond money. The least thing a wealthy man can offer you is money. Work on yourselves men to appear marriageable. Women make money now and still look good with beautiful character. You can too!

So true Apostle...wanting it God's way leaves Christian women stuck, and waiting for the promise. If we were free to hop in and out too like the world does, we wouldn't be stuck would we now!? It's much tougher for born again ladies to get married because born again (and worldly) men look down on born again ladies and they tend to prefer the non- born again ladies...many say because they " have class"... whatever that means. There's also the problem of "be not unequally yoked" concept which forces born again women to only focus on born again men. Sad situation.

I’m 62….hadn’t thought about marriage anymore but in 2012 I started getting words about my husband that God is sending to me. I’ve wondered what is the holdup. The word I’ve gotten is that he is going to find me and that I’m to simply keep making God my delight. I’ve gotten words about his physical description which was opposite of what I’d normally be attracted to but I’ve just been open to God’s will for me. That was 10 years ago. I don’t know what to think about it anymore. I pray I haven’t been off in my waiting. 😢

Read Ruth... whilst God will send the man, we women need to also have our eyes open and encourage him to come forward. As we get older we can become set in our ways of how we expect him to come. Allow the Holy Spirit to open your eyes as he may not be in church, he may not even be a Christian (yet). Remember, His ways are not our ways, and our ways are not His. God Bless you🙏🏾✝️

Misconceptions and confusion in the body of Christ about the will of God or the perfect match. “For unbelievers marriage is a contract not a covenant” There is no amount of time in marriage will guarantee you the audacity to counsel someone perfectly about marriage. Marriage is a mystery it’s not revealed by longevity but by the Holy Spirit. 2. Unreasonably standards and expectations. Example, financial status, physiques, level of education, appearances, issues of establishment etc. 3. Difficulty in early establishment. Example high unemployment rate. It’s very difficult to be established as an African. Poor salary structure 4. Ungodly parental influences. Unreasonable marriage requirements from family members. 5. Increased breakdown in moral and spiritual standards. Example; premarital affairs, For many people marriage is an inconvenience because the wants to continue their unguarded life of lust. .... 🔥🙏

Ladies need to learn more about how to position themselves. There's passive positioning and active positioning. Nothing happens magically. You must be proactive and it's okay to be the first to show interest but leave it to him to ask you out / to marry him.
