The Mandir of the Goddess Jivdani is situated atop hillock at Virar, in Thane District. The Jivdani Mandir is more than 150 years old and around 25,000 to 30,000 devotees visit the Mandir daily.

• Visiting Rule and Time, Best month to visit
One can visit this temple throughout the year. The best time to visit during the day is between 5:30 A.M. and 7:00 PM or in the evening. Ropeways are constructed which costs around INR 200 and includes the return fare. Every day the temple is open including Sunday ( it's better if you avoid to go on Sunday because it's too crowded). Jivdani Mata Mandir is situated at the height of 1500 feet.

The nearest railway station to Jeevdani Temple is Virar Railway Station. Virar is well-connected to Mumbai and other major cities in Maharashtra by train.
