Back when this album first came out, I was struggling with depression and I remember laying in bed and crying while listening to this album. Hearing these songs again 5 years later and seeing how much Patty has grown as a person and a singer as well as seeing how much I’ve changed since 5 years ago gives me a weird fuzzy feeling in my chest that’s a mix between bittersweet nostalgia and pride. Words cannot describe how this special this album is to me

I wasn't able to watch the live stream when it was going on but I'm SO happy that it saved for me to watch now! Any positive distractions to take my mind off of what's going on in the world right now I'm grateful for, so it goes without saying that watching the lead singer of one of my favourite bands playing through each track of their debut album (Never Happy was the debut album for As It Is, right?) was so calming and made me feel a lot easier and happier, if even just for a little over an hour. I remember not being able to sleep one night, so I was listening to All Time Low radio on iTunes and My Oceans Were Lakes came on and I fell in love and instantly bought Never Happy and really hoped that I would like the rest of the album, and thankfully it was great. A little over a year later, I got to see As It Is in October 2016 at a really crappy time in my life, and that day made me so happy and helped me a lot. This band means a lot to me and I will always have so much love for this album :)

Oh my heart :) As It Is came and performed at Fowlers Live in Adelaide on February 12th this year... just before the world shutdown. It was by far and away one of the best shows I have ever been too. I have vicious anxiety / depression and nights like that, give my heart and soul a total break :) When we were lining up, I was lucky enough to meet Patty. He came out and said hello to those of us waiting. He is literally the sweetest man around. My Husband came along and he was totally blown away by these lads. I am so, so thankful I discovered you in 2018. Your music has saved my soul more times than I can count. You will forever hold a really special place, safe in my heart Patty and company X X
