That breakaway at 8:54 was smooth ngl. Of course, I'm sure stuff like that is going to happen when the engine you are running has his eyes closed. With the inclines on your layout, Gordon is the best to round it out. Great to see you finally got him!

I was wondering how to give James more power and now Gordon?? I guess you could put more weight on it and add traction tires on it. I hate traction tires, i like the metal to metal but Gordon got to have that POWA!

There might be room for more weight in the smokebox area but I wouldn’t put traction tires on an engine that didn’t come with them cause then you’re just making it ride weird cause the wheels that have them will sit higher than the ones that don’t

I’ve had n-scale Gordon on preorder for so long, I was STOKED to get home from work two days ago and find it waiting for me in the mail. I think he looks great, and, while he, like the other n-scale Thomas characters in Bachman’s range, still isn’t very good at pulling non-Bachman Thomas rolling stock, he can pull every single Bachman Thomas truck I own (19 cars, including the brake can) even up a grade (I mean, not very well, but he can. I should mention, the grade on the layout is not very steep, but it is very long.) Preordered a fleet of Express Coaches yesterday. Estimated delivery is December 2025. Ugh.

They did a really good job not making his side rods chunky looking like Thomas’ I know it’s hard to make thin side rods without it breaking or being too fragile but they look really good and fit the scale nicely.

The "in half" appearance of the cylinders actually harkens back to the model series, the front bogie couldn't clear the curves on the sets, so they shaved away the insides of the cylinders to make up for that, and it sort of became a mainstay of the model.
