Yvonne a trick I learned for making it easier to clean the tops of cabinets,is once you get them clean line them with something like wax paper before you put your decor up there.

For your upper cabinet tops, cut some sheet Styrofoam to fit in the space on top to do two things - keep the tops of the cabinets clean AND lift your lovelies up so the whole thing shows from below. Won't add more weight either!!! Don't worry about climbing back up there, when you get the Styrofoam, have one of your kids do it for you! Easy peasy.

It's a good idea to record video of your treasures, as you unpack, for insurance purposes. Just put all the videos together, and put them on separate memory cards or CDs, and make several copies, storing them in separate locations, in case of theft, fire, tornado, etc. It will make it so much easier to file insurance claims if that is done. No one wants to think about that, but it's best to be prepared!

I’m quickly loving your channel. Just want to mention that Fabuloso, has tons of chemicals, and more so than your average cleaner. And I also hate to say it but that’s not water the planes are dropping but chemicals as well. Hopefully you can wear a mask for awhile after they spray if you need to be outside. Stay safe 🙏🏼👍❤

I love your decorating and you have the perfect house for it. My Uncle who was a Pharmacist, gave me some old bottles like you have. The skinny neck ones. He said they were very old and they would have cough syrup or other medicine in them. They're clear to begin with and turn blue from years, of being on a window sill, in the sun. I love collecting especially, old ironstone pitchers and creamers. Also, the milk glass. Love it!

Wishing someone suggested to me was to put a layer of newsprint on top of the kitchen cabinets. Will save time when spring cleaning. If you can make a wooden quilt for the giant space in your kitchen or find a nice quilt

Next year when you do your spring cleaning, cut freezer or parchment paper to fit on top of your cabinets. Then the next cleaning will go much quicker, you can toss the old paper and re-paper or wipe it off.

It was so smart of you to only feature the crocks on the cabinets. If you get to much stuff up there, one's eye cannot focus on the crocks which are the "stars on stage"! The china cabinet looks great paired with the wood accents, very cohesive and organized. You do such a great job.

Oh Yvonne, please be careful on your countertops. Don't stand on/near the corner where they meet. My countertops are a year old, sturdy, and we reinforced them with wood underneath. They still cracked in two different spots near the seam while I was cleaning the tops of the cabinets. We now have to replace them, or, figure out how to fix the cracks in the stone. My stone is white, so the cracks are noticeable. 😪

Yes to help with the dust on the top of those cabinets add a layer of news paper before putting your crocks up there. It will help with spring cleaning. I grew up on a potato farm. Watching your video with those planes brought me back to my childhood. What a wonderful sound!!

I grew up in Illinois but have been in Arizona for 40 yrs. We live in a farming area and have crop dusters go over our home just like that. They are so amazing. Mostly for the cotton. Loving how your home is coming along. My cabinet tops were unfinished so i painted them with enamel paint so i can scrub them when i clean.

You decorate, just like in how I decorate my home and in how I balance out my colors and textures together. I am like you, I play and play until I get it just right to my liking and my colors blends all together. I only use 3 colors at a time. I do add at bit of greenery more then you do, because I fell that it blends in and smooths everything down to make it a bit more homey. So, I do enjoy your show! And I miss having my own booth making my Home Accessories and Home Decor Items, all one of a kind. Like you, everything sold very well in my 10x10 booth. Thanks for sharing your projects. Now I can live once again through your eyes.

Put a layer of waxed paper on top of your cabinets and simply throw it away when it needs to be replaced. It doesn't get newsprint or disintegrate on the cabinets. Also, Lamps Plus is a great place for your kitchen fixture.

one channel I watched had such a wonderful idea...after you clean the top of the cabinets, lay down some plastic wrap over the whole tops, tape it if you have to, the plastic wrap keeps the tops from getting so greasy from the greasy steam of the kitchen and most of dust is on it too....she just puts her decor on top and you never see it...

I absolutely love the Iron Stone collection in that beautiful hutch, but I kept saying, you won't be able to see the tops of those large pieces on the top shelf once the door is closed! I would switch them down to the bottom shelf. They're so beautiful! What kind of chemicals are they spraying over the cornfield? A little too close for my comfort! I enjoyed your longer video today, always like to see how people decorate, so much fun. When I worked for a cleaning service, we used paper towel on the top of the cupboards, way easier then dusting all the time. I also like the crocks with the white cupboards. Have fun decorating.
