If they didn't fix the bug you will get dinged in the stats at end game anyway - the only things I ever cut down were way out of town and needed for quests, missions, commissions and yet I got dinged for 4 trees - which had to be the flowering cactus out in the Eufala for Fang. As long as I don't directly trigger Burgess, I guess I'll just have to live with that.

In my last save, the game said I cut down 12 trees when I didn't cut any down near town. I think the game is counting the sisal trees near the yakmel cart and cactus near Gecko Station and by the Valley of Whispers because those were the only trees I cut down. I wish they could fix the tree bug! I think at this point, it's here to stay.
