Ding showed huge respect to Gukesh by defending his title and earned the respect of a lot of chess players and viewers by being honest, humble and fragile in victory, in defeat and in everyday life. I am glad to finally be rid of him. I never want to watch him play chess ever again😂. Getting a massive advantage almost every game and then over thinking easy positions, to making bogus moves that led him to be worse, this is what he gets for playing like a coward, going for the draw in winning positions. I have no compassion for the man. I wish Magnus remained champion, but FIDEA has their heads shoved so far up their ass with their refusal to make the game mainstream, that they can't garner enough sponsors aka MONEY to pay their players. So Magnus left and rightly so. A bench player in the NBA makes more money than Magnus, and he's a phenom. It's a travesty that Gukesh is champion, because he honestly didn't play that well.

History was made today! Impressive feat by Gukesh! It's ridiculous that many choose to undermine his win to a blunder by Ding. That completely discredits the resilience Gukesh showed to bounce back from earlier defeats, earn those hard-fought wins when he did, demonstrate his superior preparation, and fearless ambitious play which all snowballed into the pressure that ultimately pierced Ding's what seemed like impenetrable defence by striking the final blow when it mattered. It's a culmination of all those efforts combined and no doubt Ding made it as difficult as possible showing the heart of a champion.
