I'm also f2p, and while I think the nerf went ever so slightly too far, dagger duchess was just way too dominant and braindead. It could deal with any push, and as he said, the only "counter" to push into a dagger duchess was to focus all your cards to one side, which gave the opponent free split pushes since they barely had to use elixir to defend, and also made gameplay way more 1 dimensional and boring. It was just a do it all tower with hardly any downside or counterplay.

My grief with the dagger dutchess is it was so oppresive so so long that if you didnt have it you were at a severe disadvantage every battle. So yea I got it to lvl 14 using a bunch of wildcards and gold and now its unplayable, which is painful but I like playing against the princess more so its a bittersweet moment.

I am FTP and knew i would not able to max out dutches before they would kill it. So I didn't even try. My main deck is hog so I knew wouldn't get far those seasons. I got to ultimate champion as fast and possible and then just got the stuff from the season shop, played tournaments and mega draft challenges. Im so glad dutches got nerfed, I still see it , but only once every 50 to 100 games. That said I wouldn't mind one more nerf, max ammo count to 4 or mybe 2 😂

dagger duchess did NOT stop annyoing spam cards lol, if anything it made strategic spamming better. I wish the duchess and cannoneer were a tiny bit better for deck variety, but a princess tower meta is much more enjoyable. more health on the tower makes rocket cycle much less viable also

unpopular opinion but i personally prefer when dagger was better, i personally hate facing spammy decks. they take little to no skill at all to play and get value. i personally prefer the idea of having big pushes and defending against them and doing a big counter push.

6:44 he asks for our opinion on the balance changes. Tag talks about how these balance changes were actually good for once. But what people dont realize is that was the plan all along. Bring out overpowered troops and tower troops. Wait for everyone to buy them so they have a chance in the meta. Then after sales have gone down and everyone levels them up bec they haven't been nerfed in months you nerf them to a resonable state that gains you brownie points and pleases your player base so you can rinse and repeat. Thats what happened woth monk, phoenix, dutchess ,and little prince. Even through all this I love the game. I used to spend money on the OG pass. But now ill never spend another dime bec of their practices. I run an OG royale giant deck that allows me to make it to ultimate chapion and i wait for season reset.

hey ive been playing pekka for the last couple months, I made a new iteration today, been struggling with a final product, currently its: Evo: (Ram, Firecracker), Pekka, Golden Knight, Marcher, Goblin Cage, Arrows (goblin cage suprisingly has worked as the best building wise since it can gain counterpush and it helps a lot vs hog eq and royale pigs) (Golden knight has been great for boosting battle ram to tower when opponent goes all in, in the back and securing a win in overtime, and for reaching pesky firecrackers behind tanks and one shotting them) I would love to hear your opinions on the deck, ive seen a lot of success with it in grand challenges, If there are any improvements that dont involve removing golden knight, marcher, or goblin curse, I would love to hear it (marcher and goblin curse are my fav cards) Love the content!
