Hi buddy, thanks very much for that. Yes it's a very picturesque area and I'm very lucky to able to detect on some of the land. Derbyshire is very nice, lots of great scenery there too. The rucksack is quite large (45 litres), it's one of the British Army one's, it's chunky but really well made. I do seem to pack quite a bit of gear into it, just saves walking back to the car which sometimes can be a fair way away. Ooops, the microphone is a BOYA BY-M1 3.5mm Lavalier. It works well, but it would be better with a wireless mic.

Hi Andy , great location mate and some nice finds to especially the love tokens well done , and that shilling looks like somebody dropped it yesterday it's a belter , as regards the strange lead weight thingy i'm thinking sliding weight for ballance scales ( only a guess ) anyway enjoyed it mate ATB Rob .

Eyup Rob, yes that little shilling is a cracking little find and in such great condition for something that 8 years old. The 'weight' type thing seems to be made of copper/brass/bronze or something like that. I still don't really know what it is. Happy hunting buddy and thanks again. :)

Thanks very much Martin, appreciate it buddy. It's actually a wired microphone and it works well, but it's a bit of a pain having to untangle it from time to time. :) It's a BOYA BY-M1. Hi Stu, thanks very much mate, I did get lucky with the silver finds. The cup shaped item seems to be brass, maybe bronze but it's got me puzzled to be fair. It may well be something that doesn't have much age to it, I really don't know. :)

Thanks very much Del, I do appreciate you taking the time to watch the video. I used a very small plastic dish, lined it with kitchen foil, then covered the foil with a layer bicarbonate of soda, placed the coin in it and covered it with warm water, I then put some more bicarbonate on top of the coin. You just need to wait 5 mins and then check to see how the coin looks, leave it for a another 5 mins if needed. It worked a treat on that coin, but it wasn't very tarnished to be fair.

Farmers father uncovered it in 60s than covered it up. He’s told me where to go and find it. If I locate it he’ll help me dig it out. If you’d like to come and help your welcome
