I don't have the controller anymore but I don't remember the sticks having noticable deadzones.

How do you connect it to your phone ?

When turned off, hold the home button for a few seconds to start pairing mode. From the manual: "For PC / Mobile Wireless 1 While controller powered OFF, press the Home button, release when 4 LEDs flash and the controller is now in pairing mode. When the “Pro Controller” appears in the list of Bluetooth devices, select it. 2 Once connected to the device, the LED will stop flash and the LED1 stays on. *Only compatible with the devices with BT function."
