A New Hope is Simply Beautiful

Star Wars Episode 4: A New Hope is one of the greatest things I have ever layed my eyes on. It is, to put it simply, beautiful. Everything about it is so good and well done, from Obi-Wan to Han Solo to Luke Skywalker.

Nah, ANH is honestly kinda mid. It may have started the series, but there's not crazy much good you can say about it. ESB and ROTJ are sifnificantly better.

I feel like ANH drags on for way too long until the action finally happens (unless we cut out the beginning with the Tantive IV). Also the fact a lot of sequences feel more like plot convenience than actually good writing. The fact that Obi Wan somehow appears when Luke's in danger, they somehow find one of the best pilots in the galaxy to take off, then they somehow trick the stormtroopers with a disguise despite the fact the whole base is on full alert and aware of their presence raises a few questions. Also a lot of sequences that haven't aged well, like the Obi Wan vs Darth Vader "fight". The ending is great, don't get me wrong. But the first and second chapter just really take too much time to progress. Considering how much time has passed and how much media has been released, I'd say the best thing about the movie is Tarkin's demise. Especially the Bad Batch and Rogue One really made you hate this guy and you wanted him dead.

And, well, stormtroopers all look the same on the outside. Not trying to argue, just my views on those things.

I came back an hour ago from a 9 hour long marathon in cinemas of the original trilogy. It was my first time. Tears were falling out of my eyes during the scene where Luke gives into his anger, and when Vader turned back to Anakin. I loved it

The only reason the dialogue in this movie was better than the prequel trilogy was because of Carrie Fisher apparently the original dialogue in this movie was so bad that she remade a ton of the script absolute props to her

Okay, so about the Luke being a Mary Sue. Luke was dead set on taking the shot all by himself. You can even seen him changing the range as Darth Vader is prepping to take a shot at Luke. So Luke was fully prepared to make the shot on his own. Now the question is would he have made the shot or not? But that question is never answered, because Obi-Wan tells Luke to trust the force. Luke doesn't just let go of the controls and let the Force do all the work like when Rey "fought" Kylo. Luke used the skill he already had and allowed the Force to do the rest. There's a big difference. As a believer in Christ that's kinda how Faith works. We don't just Pray and expect God to do all the work for us. We go forward in Faith and trust that God is gonna be with us. And to just so you know that I'm not just finding an excuse for my explanation. George Lucas literally based the phrase, "May the Force be with you." On the Christian saying, "The Lord be with you."

Jewered i just found out rey is the ruler of mandolore bc in the clone wars when maul was the ruler of mandolore palptine defeated him before ahsoka wich makes papptine the ruler but vader defeated him in the last jedi and luke beat vader and kylo beat luke and rey beat kylo. I don't mind the British accent Leia at all. I always took it as her being snarky towards Tarkin. She refers to his stench using the standard Imperial British accent, which infuriates Tarkin. Pretty much dead on interpretation of the character if you ask me. Carrie Fisher was heavenly. Miss her so much.

Honestly if you want the full Star Wars experience, original first but if you want a good story start with phantom menace But if you know what happens in all of them it doesn’t really matter but going from ROTJ to TPM is a bit jarring
