I just finish two days ago and it was truly beautiful in my point of view and a great add to the game. Yes it's scary but also melancholic and in some way hopeful. The way they hide the dlc is nice too. I will continue your stream later but already your expression when you discover the Stranger is delightful and catharctic :D

I ended up playing with the "Peaceful Ghosts" mod to finish the DLC. I know it isn't what the developers intended, but it definitely improved my game experience and allowed me to finish the story.

Glad to see you're getting to play this wonderful game. I just finished the DLC this last week. It is scary, but it's very rewarding. Also, the reduced frights just makes certain sequences less stressful to deal with, it is otherwise the same content. They put a lot of thought into exactly what kind of experience they want you to have. It IS outer wilds. And if the main game is all about exploring- facing the dangers of leaving home and going out into the unknown. And by overcoming your fears you find the truths out there that lead to hope and the future. In the DLC, it's all about journeying inward- to find what has been hidden away. About what happens to the truth when you let fear overtake you. And the deeper you go....well, you'll have to find that out on your own

@Cardboard_Spaceship I'm very glad you got to finish it. I love the ending so much. And I understand. I was awful at remaining calm enough to stealth around the dream world. I only got through it because I eventually realized that I could jump in and out at different campfires during the cycle, use the dark river to load into a new area and just let the flooding snuff out the other dreamers there instead of trying to run around terrified in the dark
