Wow, that 300M looks really good for 20 years old. Hardly any miles, and the exterior and interior look brand new. Hope it lasts you for a long time 🙌👌

Holy crap that's a clean 300M .There are some that have real wood but most important your dash is not cracked ,the door seals didn't shrunk and the chrome trim is not pitted ....these are getting really rare.

These cars are really nice and quiet underrated. The styling may not be for everyone but they're very durable if well taken care of. A friend of mine drove one with the 2.7L V6 engine and it lasted for over 400k miles. Even the transmission kept going without needing a rebuild.
@eryonne2468
@eryonne2468 8 ай бұрын
those 2.7Ls are actually very unreliable
@LCR
@LCR 8 ай бұрын
@@eryonne2468Not at all, it's a very good engine. What happens is that people buy the cars for little money when they're older and think they can save money by neglecting to do maintenance. And that results in issues like black sludge, which people complain about with these engines. That simply cannot happen with fresh oil. It's chemically impossible.

The 300m only ever came with the 3.5 v6..... 2.7 was notoriously bad and only available in the lesser models. Well in the US that is...

You got the right idea change water pump, belt , tensioners, transmission Mopar ATF 4 and dealer differential fluid and ride. I would check and clean trans solenoid pack does have a screen and ride ride ride.

Beautiful car man! I love these LH cars, both furst and second gen. Im sure you knoe, but this 300M was originally designed to be the 2nd gen Eagle Vision! When Daimler took over they killed Eagle and Plymouth so they slapped Chrysler badging on it and renamed it the 300M. My mom liked these LH cars as well, she almost bought a 300M or a Concorde, but wound up getting a fully loaded Intrepid instead, it was almost the same car, had the 3.5 like these but was several thousands less. She loved her Intrepid, itvwas bulletproof in the 4 or 5 years she owned it. I would love to find a clean LH like yours, especially a 300M.

Change the timing belt! They are notorious for going out between 100K to 120K miles, and if they do it trashes the cylinder heads, which is a $2500+ repair. A broken timing belt is what killed my beloved 2003 300M Special. When the main wiring harness was disconnected for the post-timing belt fail cylinder head rebuild, the insulation on the wiring cracked real bad and caused so many problems that I had to get rid of it.

Nice car. The only downside is that 4 speed auto, i had a 2005 Sebring and it failed at less than 100k miles. Idk what the preventative is, maybe changing the trans fluid on a regular basis?

Yeah Chrysler definitely isn’t known for being the most stout vehicles when it comes to transmissions and some motors. I plan on having mine flushed when the owners manual recommends.

Hard to believe Chrysler kept making this car for 20 years+ with very few changes. I like the rear orange taillights - I don't think they were on many models. I don't expect it to turn many heads as there's billions of these still on the road in many forms.

What are you talking about? They made this car from 1999-2004. The 300/ 300c is an entirely different vehicle built on a different platform introduced in 2005.
