There’s been so many food joints opening in Sydney the last few months and I am finding it hard to keep with what’s new. This includes bakeries and cafes. One café in particular that has caught my attention is the Humble Bakery.
The Humble Bakery is a boulangerie/café that was opened by the team behind Porteño. The complex where Humble Bakery is located is almost pretty much dominated by the same team as it also houses their other restaurants like Bastardo and Bodega. You find yourself in a very open space as you enter the premises, the counter full of pastries and savoury baked goods on the right, communal and a long bar table on the left. The space in the back area has a contemporary vibe with tables for 2 and 4.
Every bread and pastry here is made in house from the sourdough bread to their famous watermelon ricotta pistachio tart (which by the way is a must try). The coffee here is sourced from one of my favourite roasters in Sydney, Mecca. The cold brew I had was absolutely beautiful.
