A New Pokémon Elite Redux v2.0 Run Begins [Elite v2.0 Playthrough]

Part 1 of the Pokémon Emerald Elite Redux v2.0 playthrough! The long awaited 2.0 update is here in beta and I start my first ever playthrough on the channel. Version 2.0 has added plenty of new features and implemented Generation 8 and 9. New challeges and New Teams. Playing on elite difficulty we make our way to the first gym after picking a starter and building our team! Which new mega evolutions, forms, moves and new competitive abilities will we use?

I love mega redux houndooom, it has raging souls and contrary and it is also fast so giving him a focus band really helps me sweep the whole tournament

Tbh, I especially feel bad in this case for the fidough line: it already had trouble being a defensive wall, and now the one unique thing it has got nerfed when it doesn’t grant it a fire immunity, so now every special fire move under the sun (both figuratively and literally) just scorches it, and strong jaw definitely isn’t compensating enough for the cost

This is a rather... Fun change of pace with your vids. Game play with a play by play is always welcome in my book. It makes it more engaging, IMO. I wanna see more vids like this. BTW, Once you get access to it... But the Weedle Redux. It's broken AF when it becomes Beedrill and slap a Choice Scarf on it. I used it all the way to the 8th Gym before giving it its Mega Stone. It's amazing!

Congrats on your journey so far! Now that you've beaten Roxanne you can go back to Petalburg woods and catch a Tarountula, which shortly after (Lv.15) can evolve into Spidops, hands down the best sticky web user in the entire game. It's got a new signature ability "Web Spinner" which lowers the opponent's speed by 2 stages (It even works on double battles). It's got Ambush for first Innate (guarantees crit on first move), so paired up with First Impression you get a powerful move that 80% of the time ensures your next poke will revenge kill. I personally find it best using Silk Trap right after First Impression (specially versus physical sweepers). This makes a total of -3 speed in just 2 turns (Even sooner if you skip First Impression). Here's another shocker with a new signature move: Web Shot. -75Bp -100Acc -Sets Sticky web layer. The last move can be whatever you want. In my case I use Memento since by that point Spidops is likely low on HP and Memento makes the target weak enough for your main sweeper to set up safely and start snowballing at total ease. As for items, you can go Bug Gem to OHKO a huge amount of threats that come first into battle, or you can go defesnively with leftovers or rocky helmet to add insult to injury to physical attackers. In short: E.R brought Spidops as the ultimate sticky web control, don't let those base 460 stats fool you because with the right use, it's a top threat.

I can’t wait to try 2.0 and the Chikorita line seems to improved a lot compared to vanilla! It’s unfortunate that some buffs aren’t enough in case of Fidough for example. It’s no wonder new Megas were created and, in 2.0’s case, new evolutions altogether to help low BST mons like Magcargo without worrying about competing already viable Mega Evolutions.

I think one of my new favorite Pokemon in v2.0 is Clodsire, as not only he's an adorable big fella, but he was quite very useful for the first 4 gyms, as I was surprised Elite Redux made his offensive stats balanced, and just being quite bulky in general. I 100% recommend anyone to use one on their teams, especially in the early game, as it's pretty good.

Amazing video loved this style of content! Something that you can get now is Lokix! Which for me was one of the best mons throughout the entire game with the new Innate ability Showdown mode! Ambush + Violent Rush Combined! And it also gets Avenger! Making it an amazing Revenge killer And on top of that it gets the innate ability Tinted lens! Even more it gets a new signature move Rider Kick! BP : 90 Physical PP : 10 It's just First Impression but without the drawback of only being able to use it on the first turn! (Though no priority) Put a Choice band on it and you got a 50% Attack Boost from Avenger (after a pokemon gets killed), Gurranted Crit From Ambush, a 50% Speed boost + 20% Attack boost from Violent Rush, and a 50% Boost from Choice Band all of that boosting towards a 90 BP move with Stab = a 364.5 Move coming at you! In conclusion Lokix is an amazing Revenge killer Edit : Oh right its in Petalburg forest at the Breloom area

11:20 Impenetrable would have indeed made it not take damage from Toxic but Purifying Salt is the ability that makes it immune to status.
