My father bought the 416 GSi with the Honda D16Z2 engine in 1992 and we absolutely loved the car. Well designed, very elegant, comfortable and fully practical daily car. The interior is very nicely designed and I really love the elegant interior detailing and the high trim levels, such as electric windows / side mirrors / sunroof, wood panels, roof lining, and carpets at the lower section of the doors. Way ahead of its time. It is 100% reliable with absolutely no mechanical issues in all these years! We have kept it and we are still enjoying it. Future classic in my opinion and here in Greece as years go by, it is getting noticed more and more as a rare vintage car.

I am from Greece and my father owned a 414GSi for more than 10 years. What a comfortable, smooth and practical car it was. Very nice video. Thank you.

Good times for Rover during that period. And the R8 was a hugely popular car in the UK, because they were genuinely good. The 216 and 220 coupe were awesome cars, and the 3 door GTi was equally as good. Then there was the SEi and GSi, which were the range toppers, with a genuinely luxurious feel to them, much classier than any Ford that was available at the time, and most of the foreign imports come to that. Rover always did a nice interior on their range topping cars. They may be gone, but Rover will never be forgotten.

The Honda Concerto was released in Australia around 1987/1988. Civic and Integra were always more popular. Australia received Rover 416i which was really an Integra 5 door.

My M reg 416 sli auto in British racing green was a lovely little car, easily equal to a BMW 3 series that I had. Sadly it deprecated at a fast rate & servicing at Rover was expensive.

You forgot the 80’s yuppy clothes with braces, plus you needed 80’s music playing on your video to complete the press day launch recreation. Good vid though and proffesionally done.👍
