This is some pocket of parallel universe goodness! I never really even liked Rugrats growing up, but this game still looks incredible. We need more of this authentic retro revival. You hit the nail on the head with the Bonks reference 👊🏽

Haha, yeah, the game looks promising. Nickelodeon has been doing pretty good with finding developers to make their games. This looks good and Shredder’s Revenge and their Smash Bros rip-offs are pretty good. 🤘🏼

Wow, thanks for the reminder of this! I did hear about it last year, but pretty much forgot about it. This looks great! Rugrats was my favorite cartoon during that time, even though I was bit older to be watching this at the time (I think I was like 10 or 11). Also, I can't help but think of the Mya song from the Rugrats movie whenever I think of Rugrats now, lol.

Some other youtuber was talking about this with his friend, and his friend asked, "Who is this made for ?" I'm thinking to myself like um gamers. Who else ? Idk people are just weird. I feel like people aren't interested in most games if it isn't some triple A title. Every game has to be a triple A title, and if its not, they dont care for it lol. I remember seeing tweets about the game on Twitter and people were saying how they're kind of late with making this game because the show ended a long time ago.

i think they are asking if its for the adults who grew up with the franchise and it being in the style of an nes game or if its for little kids because rugrats is a kids show and nick is (or was) about kids.

I found this video entertaining. I hadn't heard of it before. A little constructive criticism, because this is the first video of yours I have seen. You shouldn't use whatever camera you are using, or change some settings or something. Maybe just use a decent smartphone. The frame rate is far too low, making the parts that weren't gameplay footage hard to watch. You may just need better lighting, low light can tank the framerate on some cameras.

@@TheAgingGamer You can never be too old for Rugrats; that was a show made with general audiences in mind. Nickelodeon wanted Klasky-Csupo to make an animated series that was like The Simpsons, but more family-friendly. There was a lot of adult humor in Rugrats, particularly in the B-plots that focused on the parents.

Potentially unpopular opinion here and I'm grateful for any new Rugrats content, but I'm quite disappointed!! Rugrats was and still is my absolute fave cartoon and I adored the PS1/PS2 games which look way more fun to me still than this! I'd be way more excited for a remastered version of Search for Reptar / Rugrats in Paris personally! Basically looking for more of a free roaming/continuous story rugrats game with great graphics than a retro arcade style game that from first glance (IMHO) looks less fun than the old games.....

@nicholase82 I'm a Sega Genesis gamer myself, but I do sometimes wonder what a 16-bit Rugrats game would have been like, especially since The Ren & Stimpy Show had a ton of games in that era; four on SNES and one on Genesis. I imagine that a 16-bit Rugrats game would have had levels based on specific episodes of the series' first three seasons, and boss battles against different incarnations of Angelica.
