As I have mentioned in the live stream yesterday, my files were really corrupted due to a microphone problem. I ran the compiled video through Wondershare to diminish the audio error, and this is the final result! Still a little bit of audio problems here and there, including some static. Regardless, I hope you guys enjoy MY DAY 1 adventure down in Chattanooga, TN! And, of course, make sure you show some love to CHATT CATS FISHING by subscribing and following him on KZbin: bit.ly/1X9qnzw

And by the way...In the video, I meant to say Blue Catfish, and not Channel Catfish. 50lbs+ Channel Catfish would have been wild. 😂😂😂

Extreme Philly Fishing, man when I saw that note in the video I was like. " WHAT 50lbs for a channel cat that would be a Ohio state record!!!" it would beat the record by almost 20 pounds dude. XD

You have taught me so much, and I now multi species fish. I was multi species fishing in a pay lake and I ended up switching up to a bit of hot dog. I was the only one to catch a fish in 2 hours over 5pounds. I ended up getting a 20.34 pound blue on 6 pound line. This is a reminder to others that you do not need big gear to catch big fish

Hey have a question for my fellow fisherman, i just caught a 10 pound carp today at the river. after i pulled it in it was bleeding all over my arm and shirt from the hook. i only had it out a couple minutes and let it revive in the water about 30 seconds and it swam away fine but was still bleeding quite a little bit. Is a fish like that going to survive or is it just going to end up dying? I practice catch and release on everything, the last thing i would want to happen is kill a fish.
@extremephillyfishing7 жыл бұрын
Very good question, Brian Moore. Common Carp (_Cyprinus carpio_) are very hardy fish; however, any Species out there can suffer a cryptic death after massive blood loss. The internal bleeding will stop once they are in the water, but nobody can really tell what will happen to the fish after that. Let's just hope that the fish recovers from it by eating and resting a lot! When I see bleeding like that, what I do is put it back in the water as soon as possible. I am sure that you did what you could, Brian! Tight lines and thanks for watching!
@brianmoore42407 жыл бұрын
Extreme Philly Fishing Let's hope so! Thank you for the answer Leo good luck out there my friend. Come fish Pittsburgh some time.
@jamesaritchie17 жыл бұрын
I don't release anything that's edible, but I understand your view. Carp, however, are different. All carp are invasive, and are not good for other fish, bass in particular. In my state, it's against the law to return a carp to the water. You're supposed to kill them as soon as you catch them because even transporting a live carp is illegal. So if a fish you caught had to doe better a carp than anything else. And, really, fish die. Fish get eaten. The supermarket is full of dead fish, and so is the stomach of most fish out there. Realistically, if you catch fish, a lot of them are going to die, regardless of how carefully you handle them. Bing caught is traumatic, and makes the fish expend a lot of energy. And a hook causes fish to bleed. It's a wound, and like all wounds, can become infected. I've seen stats showing that up to half of all released fish die. If you really, really don't want to kill a fish, then you have to not fish at all. To me, fish are food, just as beef is a food, pork is a food, and duck is a food. Just as you don't feel right killing a fish, I don't feel right catching a fish just for my own pleasure. To me, catch and release seems a lot crueler than catch and keep. At least the fish I keep serve a purpose, and do not swim away from the catch and die without benefitting anyone, other than for fun.
@brianmoore42407 жыл бұрын
James Ritchie Yeah that's what i thought to because i know they are not a native fish . but i don't know because i've heard of a lot of scientists catching fish with hook and line and putting trackers on them to see where they go and i have a lot of friends who catch fish and release them in small ponds or fish tanks and they all mostly stay alive. I love catching fish but one thing i can't stand is hurting them unnecessarily. especially since i don't keep them. I hunt and kill squirrles but only because we eat them. other than that , dang i just let a stink bug go outside this morning because i didn't want to kill it haha. you think if you took extra care of the fish , made sure he wasn't out of the water a long time and let him recover a little he'd be alright. but i mean i might just tell myself that to not feel guilty, who knows
@elaishellathicc72217 жыл бұрын
James Ritchie carp don't effect bass, that's from a bass fisherman and carp fisherman. They rarely eat eggs they prefer top water bugs and grubs like bluegill

Did you mean 50+ lb blue catfish, because it said channel catfish in the beginning of the video in the white letters at the top, because 50 lb channel catfish would be near world record haha

That is exactly what I meant, RunOva. :) Tight lines and thanks for watching!

Haha. Yes...I usually don't do boat fishing, Becks' Outdoors Adventures. I think the last time I was on a boat, before this trip, was with 1Rod1ReelFishing in Maryland. :) Tight lines and thanks for watching!
