A new spectacular cycle path that leads to Lignano Sabbiadoro (Italy)

With this ride the cycling guide Mario Saccomano leads you to discover the Adriabike cycle path (FVG 2) in the stretch that connects the village of Precenicco to the touristic town of Lignano Sabbiadoro along the Stella River and the Marano Lagoon.
The ride was carried out in the winter of 2022 and let you discover the new and wonderful cycle path that runs along the Lagoon and the "Foci dello Stella" Nature Reserve.
From Lignano we keep on cycling towards the Veneto region connecting with the cycle paths that lead to Venice.

Ciao Antonio, siamo contenti che il video ti sia piaciuto! Da Lignano si può raggiungere Marano seguendo il tracciato della Ciclovia FVG-2 che però non è completamente tabellato in questo tratto. Se ti servono le tracce per il gps facci sapere. Buone pedalate!

Hello Gerald. There is a nice bike route that connects Lignano and Bibione to Venice. It is part of the Eurovelo 8 cycle route and signposted as " I 3 " bike route from Bibione to Caorle and Jesolo. In Jesolo you can follow the Sile river bike route and the new bike route that follows the lagoon to Portegrandi and Quarto di Altino (route signed as " E 4 "). From Qualto d'Altino you can follow the " I 2 " signs and you can arrive in Mestre and from here there is a bike route to Piazzale Roma in Venice (rimember that in Venice you cannot use your bike). The route is quite nice with lovely views on the lagoon and the plain rivers. You'll ride mainly on local paved roads, some unpaved roads and some dedicated bike paths. On the website www.opencyclemap.org/ you can have an idea of the route. If you need a GPX track let me know. Ciao!

Ciao Christine! D'estate da Udine c'è un bus che scende a Lignano e porta anche le bici. Oppure si può usare il treno della linea Trieste-Venezia (fermate di Latisana o Palazzolo)

Ho percorso oggi questa nuova ciclovia, in un bel percorso che mi ha portato dalla FVG6 lungo il Tagliamento a Lignano e poi risalendo appunto per la FVG2. Segnalo che la ciclovia è per buona parte invasa dalle erbacce ormai altissime e che in alcuni tratti rendono già problematica e fastidiosa la percorrenza. Ma possibile che non si sia pensato alla manutenzione?! Se non si provvede subito allo sfalcio, non sarà utilizzabile per la stagione estiva. A chi va segnalata questa cosa?!

Grazie per la segnalazione Andrea. La manutenzione dovrebbe essere gestita da una branca di FVG Strade che peraltro sono abbastanza operativi. Provvedo subito a comunicare la problematica.
