Very useful, and matches my experience. Especially for the Heavy Hand Side, into either a Klon or something a bit darker, like a Benson Germanium Preamp. Coincidentally, I also tried various mid-gain overdrives, including KOT, which was not as good in my experience- the HH generates a lovely, clear, jangly overtone that my KOT did not match. Yes, it can over-compress (as can the KOT), but in my experience that's mostly to do with how I match the gain settings on the pedals. Plus I can tweak the Duellist with the side dip switches, to reduce the extent of compression in the tone, and retain that lovely overtone and push. Appreciate Dustin how you share your hacks and discoveries.

Do you think an original blues breaker or an original tube screamer works too in the same conditions?

Does the duellist create a sound that you modify or does it affect the amp input gain and force the amp to react?

It does alter your tone a bit but does more drive for the amp than anything. If you crank the gain it can really alter tone but I like using it to push the amp more.

El duellist suena muy bien, pero me gusta más el sonido que tienes sin los pedales

Your clean sound has lots of chorus to it….

To compressed and hard to use in a live setting especially cut through the mix , i have the KOT and does a much better job IMO
