Earth is gone. Authorized by DOLOS AEC, the Tiqqun space station represents humanity's best hope for survival amongst the stars. As administrator, it's my responsibility to ensure the survival of the last vestiges of humanity and find them a new home. But with the station falling apart, social unrest sweeping the crew, and unfamiliar phenomena threatening the ship... that might just be a tall order.

Best part? The dog gets their own poster shot in the ending. It does make me wonder if there might be more to be gained, and answers found, if you're willing to sacrifice your scientists in the name of answers at events. I can't help but feel like there must be some sort of event chain you can fire off by going hard with the silver spheres; the fact that there's a number of them makes it seem less likely that they're totally unconnected and that there just happens to be 3-4 of them to stumble into.

There is a theory that to create a PA you need a human brain. Also that the administrator, the player, is a PA created from Naomi, the woman who invented the Engine for the ship and then refused to stay with the project. So you got kidnapped, your brain extracted, and turned into a PA to run the mission. Naomi protocol is your human brain overriding your programming, and each Naomi protocol includes some gibberish that, when put in a rot-23 cypher, is Naomi telling off Dolos. The reason either you or the PA have to pilot the ship into the BMS ship is a computer is needed.

Also, you can confirm in-game that the Administrator isn't really human. Spoiler: if you choose to stay with Tiqqun to smack Piranesi, the cutscene changed a bit, showing you (rather than the copy of Protagoras' PA) as a blue-ish box with "Administrator" written on it. That's why Naraka (Piranesi's PA) insisted to assimilate you. An AI obviously can't assimilate a totally real human but definitely could assimilate a similar being.

@@LunarCrusade The blue box is a cryopod. It reads "administrator" and the last shots of the scene is it getting sealed. Also doesn't really make sense to me as to why they needed a shuttle to get an AI to the tiqqun, since Edden was built into it when you've arrived.

I like the Roman lore in the Troy system given the aeneid storyline of survivors fleeing a doomed home. I'm curious if there are explanations of the temporal anomalies throughout the game, but I guess that is up for speculation. I did laugh when Romulus wasn't visible in the background after traveling there. The AI did say it doesnt exist after all.

Wait, the Lunaclysm was ‘inevitable?’ Did I miss something in a previous chapter about DOLOS knowing in advance that the drive was going to blow up the moon?

They knew. And knew the entire project needed CENTURIES to be perfected and no one was gonna do it or stay around. So yes, basically Dolos went " we can save some humans but nuke the moon and earth or risk looking for a solution that may never come " and went for the first. DOLOS is not the good guys of the story in case you missed it.

@@cubefreak123 While you are mostly correct, the Lunaclysm was caused because the first Vohle engine caused too much Tachyons and brought the moon with it. It’s explained in exploring the Pythagoras. The DOLOS CEO realized however that Earth was unlikely gonna survive by the time the IXION engine would have been completed. He needed to force the issue by making earth unhabitable and forcing humanity into space. Or maybe he was actually too much into the Ashintaringes cult to realize any possible alternative. I doubt about the “he sees the future” theories as there is no obstacle in deactivating Eden and colonizing Romulus. Maybe his fear is that the Ashintaringes are incredibly non violent, thus making very likely in the future that those names are gonna be very ominous. It is possible also to win despite Remus being glassed by the Piranesi ( small spoilers: the Piranesi wasn’t going for the Tiqqun, it first reaches Remus and glasses it, then chases you. ) so the most logical idea if he did see the future is that he sees 2 out of 14 millions chances, and was betting on one using Edden to fool you.

From how I understand it for reference (and this is just from me watching), it's less that DOLOS knew it was coming, and more 'knew we had to do it to move forward'. the Lunarclysm forced humanity to do what DOLOS believes they needed to do: adapt or die. well on a planet that's safe though dying, the logical answer to get humanity moving forward is to move the needle and make it no longer safe. it took destroying the moon to bring them all together and work on a new way forward. But then, EDDA is programmed to follow the company creed: Adapt or die. by following it's advice, you would have joined the Ashtangites as one of them, and more then likely come to understand that this is what's needed, to adapt to the planet and coexist as opposed to the humanity you know. In the end, you defied what DOLOS wanted, and found a new home.

so wait up, you remember that the "Ashtangites" were the humans who were left by the UN on earth, they were the ones abandoned, the "bad people", so somehow they reached Remus, mutated themselves and lived peacefully? And what about the piece of the Tiqqun found drifting in chapter 4? Theres some time paradox in this game thats left for discussion, I'd love to hear your thoughts

Remember that every time Tiqqun jumps, we actually don't know whether it was still the same space-time continuum with before or not. The story also hinting that multiverse exists. Here's some crazy hypothesis: Vanir (the head of DOLOS) actually knew all of the journey from the start, with some kind of Doctor Strange thingy where there's only one brief window of opportunity for launch or the humanity in current universe is screwed forever. That's why he also already knew (from the monologue on ending) there are 2 choices of planet. In a few, several, dozens, or even countless another space-time continuum, the Administrator already did this entire mission. Some failed (yes, that Tiqqun fragment), but some other succeeded. It's either when the Tiqqun smacked the Piranesi (remember that the engine have the ability to mess up space-time) or some time later, the Administrator goes back in time to inform Vanir about this.

Is it me or this game feels like an extremely fun and exciting game but somehow... isn't? This might be just Pravus playing very efficently and knowing event outcomes but there is almost no feel of urgency save for that sentient ship trying to consume us. While I enjoyed the series game seems like 5 (or 4, didn't finish watching this one) chapters of "Go there, investigate this, try not to die, spend 300 cycles gathering resources with little to no danger, start new chapter fully stocked on resources, repeat".

I had to train 3000 colonists 💀💀💀💀 i rescued every single cryo pod. The game didn’t like that for some reason and ended up stop counting the population after 4071

Since Pravus chose embrace the 'Cult of the Hull' I imagine the next generations of Romulus' humans will treat the Tiqquns remains as Holy Relic and the site where the Tiqqun rammed to the Piranesi as a place of pilgrimage. And their scripture will be how the Tiqqun is the embodiment of the Guardian Angel who guided Humanity to the promised land and its final act of Heroism was sacrificing itself to the embodiment of the Devil Piranesi.

As you are now in the Illia system, does this make the story the Illiad? But given the planets Remus, Romulus, Vulcan, Palatine, Plutarch this should be the Aeneid - the Roman knock-off Illiad from 30-20 BC. 2:55 What do you mean "Aliens"? Those are Ashtangites. The humans that were left behind on earth, that were _very much_ into genetic engineering. 16:20 "Maxim 24. Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from a big gun."

I wish you had the option to invade Remus and take it over. I mean I know that we will eventually, because Romulus is a craphole and we don’t seem to have terraforming technology , but I would have enjoyed ‘being human’ and repeating the ‘I want what you got so I’m gonna take it’ instinct we like to pretend we’re above these days but absolutely would devolve to in such a situation.

@@raptorofwar4415 The game tells us that there are high levels of chlorine in the upper atmosphere (which, aside from apparently being related to an excessive risk of shuttle destruction on entry, is also literally poisonous at worst and inherently corrosive at best, causing eye, skin and lung irritation even at mild levels - and, since it's heavier than oxygen, we can also presume it's even thicker at ground level). We can see from visual cues that both the ground and air is thickly yellow, AND the game outright tells us that the settlement had to install oxygen recyclers, confirming that the air isn't safe on its own. Meanwhile, we've seen elsewhere on multiple planets that humans seem to be prone to delusions, obsessions, insanity and poor decision-making when exposed to the same element that powers the VHOLE engine either out in the world... or from consecutive jumps. Then there's also that 'known Dementia effect of space travel' mentioned way back in the prologue. On the balance of probability, it seems way more likely to me that settling Romulus - which requires deactivating the machine that normally detects and reports aberrant human behaviour to you - is a not-so-veiled Bad Ending. Presumably they either die or just suffer as a result of their canonical exposure to high levels of chlorine in the air they're breathing and brushing against and they're either gonna have to live in little space-ship-boxes on this miserable Chlorine World, or they're gonna start eyeballing Remus the way their world's namesake First King of Rome once did.
