Hello, I discovered ur channel few days ago as I also discovered the beauty of SM games. I'm completely in love with Scythe and just got a Wingspan copy. Really liked the idea of this channel and I'd like to suggest you to create lists with videos by games as it would be easier to me bingwatch ur Scythe videos. About this one, what makes me like this game that is a good feeling about planning your plays and get rewards after it and I do feel the same at the end of my games, even when I lose I always end with this feelign that I build an engine and it works

I have just started a 3 player RoF campaign and ended up with Crimea. I am really discovering the power of enlisting at the moment - it's so easy to get food and combat cards so enlisting is a fairly easy star for Crimea.

Did you listen closely to his correction though? He hinted (or perhaps I merely inferred) that the typo was only for the *retail* release. Could it be that the pre-release direct sales will be in Q3? That would line up with B2Ca from last year. I assume a similar timeline is needed to make holiday sales. #speculation #rumormill

'almost everything now' - Because premier league football, one he did _checks_ four years ago, 18th of these he did, bloody hell, was perfectly expected for a board game designer and publisher's youtube series talking about his favourite mechanism in various games. He' been going into weird and wonderful directions with that series since almost when he started doing it. ;) I do love the double benefits of various things in Scythe - The way all of the bottom row actions benefit me twice, though the buildings are probably the most subtle about it (since their second bonus is just points at game end via territory control and the building bonus tile), and yeah video games rarely do similar. Maybe 4x games like the Civ franchise where different techs unlock multiple things along with the ability to research more tech, but... That's as close as I recall in video games to that and 'unlocking options' doesn't feel nearly as powerful as 'unlocking an ability/end game points and giving an immediate benefit/more board presence' or 'making one thing of your choice cheaper and boosting another thing of your choice's power' in the case of upgrade specifically. I haven't played it, but I think I recall Jamey saying that that double-benefit mechanism of Scythe was inspired by Terra Mystica, and how things in that game seemed to give multiple rewards for doing them at some point? If my recollection is correct there, both Terra Mystica and it's spiritual successor, Gaia Project (which I think has a solo mode from a certain Morten Monrad Pedersen in it?) probably should be on your list of games to research. Castles of Burgundy might fit, most things you do in that game both help you immediately (usually by immediate points, sometimes by giving you a special ability or a free action) while also contributing to scoing long term points, but I'd caution you to try a demo - it is bone dry.

I still FEEL new. I have deeper pockets than sense, I guess. I mean, I wait for deals, but many of this, shamefully, have been played once as I chase trying to learn the types of games I like and can enjoy with my kids. :)
