Nice video, Michael! At minute 6:30, one should consider driving straight onward up Kolb, to show the viewers Ventana Canyon Resort, and from there continue on, turning right onto Kolb, making the Finisterra loop drive, which brings one VERY close to the mountains, with AMAZING views through the passenger window, then the road curves southbound, to become N. Craycroft Rd. At the light at Sunrise Dr., one could either head south on Craycroft or turn right onto Sunrise, and continue on. When one comes to Oracle Rd., one could turn right and head up into scenic Oro Valley, especially if there were a way to turn the camera to the backside of the Catalinas, for the FABULOUS views one gets beyond Magee, all the way up to Tangerine Rd. If one wanted to explore, one could continue northward on Oracle to Golder Ranch Rd. (in the town of Catalina), turn right, drive until it turns to dirt, cross the cattleguard, and with an Arizona Trust-land permit ( it used to be $20/yr.), one could enter state trust land, forking left, and following the dirt road until coming to side dirt roads. The views there of both the high desert and the mountains are SPECTACULAR. Getting the Trust-land permit is worth it. The views there are not to be seen anywhere else. If one walks or drives down one of these very narrow dirt roads that lead back from the main road (small front-wheel drive car will do the trick, like a VW Rabbit) all the way back (meaning toward the mountains) to the dividing fence between state trust land and the national forest, they will find that the plateau that they were on, drops down into a creekbed shaded with tall Cottonwoods, and is pretty as a picture, as the land climbs upwards from there. It's amazing country.

Another thought would be to continue on Ina, all the way out to Picture Rocks. In the springtime, or after monsoon season is done, wildflowers grow profusely all along the side of the road. The trip there is very pretty and the scenery there is something special. One would have to get out of the car to slowly film the picture rocks. Have you filmed that yet? That's definitely something to keep in mind. There are also well-maintained dirt roads there to explore, that take one into state or federal land like Saguaro National Park or Tucson Mountain Park, but from the back side, meaning, from Picture Rocks. :)

Another interesting drive is taking Old Spanish Trail out to Rocking K Ranch area, and through the old Vail area. Maybe then south to Corona de Tucson. Exploring the San Pedro River valley (on the other side of the Rincons) would also be mighty interesting. ~ Have you ever been to Arivaca? That's nice, especially driving there from Three Points, south on the Sasabe Hwy, well past Diamond Bell Rd., itself a nice hilly drive that crosses the terrain from Sierrita Mountain Rd. over to Sasabe Hwy. Diamond Bell Rd. parallels Ajo, but far up in the Sierrita Mountain foothills and is scenic, with good views of the Baboquivari's through the windshield. I would start filming going south on Sierrita Mountain Rd (scenic)., and way up high where it turns to dirt, the asphalt turns right, which is Diamond Bell Rd., a very pretty area. I would continue on Diamond Bell Rd and filming, and it will eventually come to a stop sign at the Sasabe Hwy (maybe twenty minutes later) where I'd turn left and head down to the Arivaca turn off. SERIOUSLY PRETTY COUNTRY. One would want to stop periodically to get out and film the jagged mountains and the very green, lush high desert landscapes, especially where Sierrita Mountain Rd meets Diamond Bell (the scenery from the dirt roads back in there is awesome!) and of the Baboquivari's and in approach of the Arivaca turn off. The terrain and views beginning about fifteen miles before the Arivaca turn-off are SUPERB, from there all the way to Arivaca. After turning left on the Arivaca Rd, and traveling on for a few minutes, there are marked trail-heads with dirt parking under tall shade trees, and running creeks. OH, IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL!! If you walk along the trail, you'll see the trees and the creek, the BIRDS, Butterflies, Hummingbirds, and what I term " exotic" insects, considering this is a Riparian area and blessed with specialty birds and insects we don't normally see at all. Walking in there, I saw a beetle that was, so to speak, " exotically painted" as if by an artist's hand, in bright bold colors, bright blue, bright red, but he was all natural. The bird and insect life in there is SPECTACULAR. That walk is all shaded by tall trees and would only take 45 minutes of your time to film. Driving on from there into the town of Arivaca is short and lovely, SO GREEN, and there's a good market there where you can pick up some lunch, before driving around the little green streets and visiting the little lake there. Coming in from the Sasabe Rd is FAR more scenic than from 1-19. Highly recommend, VERY beautiful drive and walk, VERY. :0
