Khanysia was just standing in the doorway of the stable, but when Adine came around the corner Khanysia got all happy. The affection you show her Adine seems to give Khanysia such joy and comfort. She started eating and got all playful. She is just a baby that has been through so much. I think your love and special treatment of her makes her so happy and may have originally saved her life and now keeps her going. I know she has fabulous caregivers, the beautiful Jabulani Herd, Lammie and Nungu and beautiful surroundings, but she has bonded with you it seems and that is so nice. Thank you for the great vlog.

I could see Khanyisa didn't want to come out of the warm nursery: she was ready for rest. She walks so much, keeping up all day with the big elephants! Khanyisa is a happy, healthy baby elephant! What a beautiful sight to see Khanesa munching before it’s her bedtime. Buy, if I may, since she is growing the Nursery, will she be joining the herd where they sleep? Also, I wish it wasn’t so darn even though I know it is your night time now but, I was so excited that Fiahon was there and Jabulani in the distance which o think I saw him sort of. She still receives a milk bottle every three hours and will continue to get a bottle until she is about 4 - we'll continue to monitor her closely and ensure her milestones are met in good time 💚

Even in the dark of night Adine can name the elephants. Amazing! Glad to get to see all the big elephants at night too and what they do and how they sleep. Why do they have such bright lights at night? Khanyisa is starting to loose that baby look. She's growing up that cute little leggy girl. What does an elephants skin feel like? I will probably never in my life time be able to get that close to one and I'd really like to know. Is it rough or leathery feeling? Or could it even be soft. I would love to know.

Lammie is obedient to Adine’s soft whistle call, Nungu is ignoring it while loving her grass. I just rewatched a video from the beginning of the year and ‘our’ girl has sure grown: taller, stronger muscles; just an immense joy to have witnessed almost all her steps until now (I still have videos to watch). I think she has gained a lot of strength and stamina. I believe there were nights she would curl up and go to sleep shortly after returning with the herd. She has plenty of energy to enjoy snacks and Adine's company. 🐘♥️🐘♥️🐘♥️
