Mark seems like such a nice dude. Seriously, why do people have to be so nasty when it comes to judging someone on how they look? People age differently, on top of that who knows what type of hardships Mark (as well as other people) went/go through during their life?

Joeey Chow the gay agenda is part of the NWO. the NWO isn't about microchips and all the countries literally becoming one, the NWO is about making a Godless society ruled by chaos and heathenism.

It was non-literal; I wouldn't actually be surprised if you turned out not to be gay. Besides, a few lines of text is not necessarily enough to reveal a person's sexuality, but now I think that your "I'm as heterosexual as it gets" comment was a blatant overcompensation of your masculinity (or lack thereof). I don't think that you're gay though in truth, just insecure. I mean, why else would you even bother to respond to some random stranger on the Internet about your sexuality if you didn't care? I'll let you let that sink in whilst you indulge in your ego some more.

I don't care what people say. For a guy to play, a final girl in a horror movie. That's a groundbreaking and takes guts. Not many guys would that. There's a short list of men playing the final girl.

I saw this movie in 85, I was 9 yrs old and it scared the hell out of me and I mean to the point that I vomited. The scene when freddy erupts from marks body was astonishing. If you rewatch that scene now you will note marks acting was incredible, just incredible, he was so so strong in that entire movie. I have rewatched lots of times in order to exorcise my demons and I have to say the homoerotic subtext is completely lost on me. Never noticed then and don't care now. I thought he was Oscar level brilliant in his portrayal. Exceptional performance and movie. Freddy jumping through the floor beside the pool.. What an image. Well played Mr patton. F#*k the haters.

It's nice to see that there are some film stars who embrace the entire spectrum that goes with that territory with such intelligence, enthusiasm, and delight. Mark Patton is certainly secure in that realm & it was nice to meet him, a fun & joyful experience. There's also the most recent documentary where he is the subject called "Scream Queen: My Nightmare on Elm Street". The film that began and ended his career simultaneously in Hollywood because how he was treated by certain people he confided in the industry for the most part, not accepting himself of who he is as a person when it was not convenient to come out as gay during the 1980s, especially with the emerging AIDS virus affecting a huge portion of the gay community.

I knew he was gay watching the movie for the first time in 1985 as a 5 year old kid. The fact that the movie’s subtext “outed” him is why he quit acting and harbored some resentment toward David Chaskin (writer) and the franchise. Back in 1985 the social norms and what is acceptable was extremely different than in 2019...it was traumatizing for Mark to be outed by the movie. This was my introduction to ANOES series and is still and will always be my favorite ANOES movie.

Me impresionas.

Reading the comments here, it appears I'm not from your universe. Where I'm from we call experiences like this 'being in the Twilight Zone' (a reference to a tv series in my universe but I digress). In my universe, Nightmare on Elm Street 2 is by far the worst movie in the series and most likely even the worst sequel ever in a horror franchise. All this actor did in the movie was whine, cry, sob, and so on. That's not entirely on him, of course, that's what the script wanted him to do and he did it. But every time I rewatch the NoES series yet again, I always skip no. 2 and for good reason. So greetings from another universe or reality or whatever and cudos on you for having a decent no. 2 in the NoES franchise, which we can only dream of. Pun intended, of course :-)

It's just a movie some like it some don't as far as the lead performance that was intentional. In Nightmare 2 the main character played by Mark Patton is intentionally like that because he isn't meant to be a hero like Nancy from the first film. In Nightmare 2, unlike the first film, the main character is a victim from start to finish.

Maybe he referring to Lisa's friend on the bus at the end... that chick. Has Mark Patton even seen his own movie?? lol Also, people didn't not like the movie because of the gay undertones, they didn't like it because it was a complete departure from the formula of the first film.
