Kyle Gallner saved that movie. Quentin was seriously the only good character. He was the only one that I really didn't want to die because he was likeable and relatable.

She was emotionally repressed from having been molested as a child , repressing the memory , having it come back to haunt her in the form of Freddy , being sleep deprived , being isolated from social interaction for years and seeing her friends killed off one by one . she has this look in her eyes and tone in her voice, that she hates this movie and wishes she was never in it. now recently she comes out saying she hated and didn't want to star in this movie. I totally respect that for she know it was a bad film .

i also saw this movie waaaay too young. i was about 4 or 5 years old at a family part and my older cousins were watching it in another room and i snuck in because i wanted to be cool... oh my god was that a mistake. i couldn't walk passed the poster hanging in the local video store without crying after that

@sodapop380 I won't say it was pretty good. I would say it was okay. As a matter of fact, the two others that went with me shared the same sentiment. The film should've strived to be better than it was, have characters that were likable so when they died, you actually cared. IMO not a single one of them, except Quentin, was at all interesting. And Rooney Mara playing the lead was a poor decision. Her character was empty, devoid of personality and, unfortunately, she had no chemistry whatsoever.

Rooney Mara's acting in that film was like a swampass; you wanted to clean it up afterwards, it's so disgusting and useless. She really did nothing for the film. Same goes for the rest of the cast; except Kyle Gallner. He, like Jared Padalecki in F13 remake, was the only saving grace. Even Jackie couldn't fill the void left by Robert Englund. It's one of the better remakes, but still doesn't hold a candle to the original.

I'm confused she saw the movie at a really young age so she does have nostalgia towards the original. Does she feel this movie should not have been made as well? Regardless this movie wasn't bad I personally place this between 3 1 2 and 4 FvsJ 5 6 in my personal ranking of the films. I know I need to see New Nightmare it's on my October watchlist.
