What would you think about wearing vintage shoes? Would they just crumble or stay together ?

They can stay together. Old school glue from 70s to mid 80s is ridiciously strong and can last a very long time. Back then most shoes had Eva foams, or Tomilite foams so they don't crumble like how PU midsoles have. But the rubber outsole depending on the model can harden over time, or with proper care and usage can last a very long time. Other properties like vinyl linings or the rubber foam ankle padding can crumble or more suceptible to breaking down but it doesn't hinder it fully.
