Fun to watch.! If I may ask, what was the purpose of trimming off the sides of that last tree. I get it in the back for the wedges but why the sides?

Just to narrow up the stem a bit. By removing the 2-3" thick bark on both sides, I was able to make the back-cut in one pass instead of having to cut from both sides.
