@@MikolajKnas But not with Swedes, Ottomans or Russians. Germans had good relations with Russians also until the Seven Years war, then the paranoia started to creep in. Funny thing is, by removing Poland, the only buffer between Russia and Austria/Prussia/Germany disappeared, making them neighbors. In short the division of Poland could be summed up by Russians and Germans as "We made a horrible mistake." both the Brest-Litovsk agreement and later the Soviet plans were aware that they need a buffer between the two. Funny enough, it's the other way around for Belgium, that buffer should have never have existed.
